The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light. For sale 12 gauge 2-3/4" chamber Stevens (Savage Arms Company, Chicopee Falls Chicopee, MA 01020 USA) pump actions shotgun model 77C ( same as Savage model 30, Springfield model 67), comes with 27"/28" plain (not vented rib) fixed full choke barrel, comes with original wood plug. Note these guns are also found in brand names of Savage, Springfield and Fox. These were made 1954-1971 this particular one was made before 1968. This gun was cold blued after (and poorly done), it has signs of wear and rust so once in a while when you first try to cycle the action it may initial stick slightly, probably needs a good cleaning and oiling, I will include a gun cleaning kit. It now has a front bead sight since pictures were taken.
