A Stevens model 58-12 gauge from Savage arms and is bolt action. From the 1960s, 2 3/4 inch and Full choke. Comes with a 2 rds mag that has been repaired (someone stepped on it a long time ago). Has hardly ever fired, been sitting in a safe for 4 decades. Bore and action is exellent. Not sure if it was converted from a Mauser Ger98 or just based on it. This is a really nice excellent condition 22 rifle. Made sometime between 1947-49. So pretty rare. Tube feed bolt action that can hold 20 rounds of long rifle! Stock has been refinished. Majority of the bluing is still there. Comes with a side scope mount that is the weaver base. This rifle is built like a tank and super accurate with that peep sight setup. I have a Shillen select match barrel in 223 rem, for a savage small/standard shank action. Barrel is a 1:12 twist. Sendero contour (.800") at muzzle and 26" long. I ordered the barrel and have 970 documented rounds through it. Lots of life to go ( thousands of rounds). Very accurate with 40 gr vmax, 53&55 gr noslers, 52 gr Speer, barnes varmint grenade. Have many targets showing 5 shots within .350". Load data available.

There is a 10° break installed, which relieves almost all kick. It all rests in the McMillan stock with adjustable, cheek rest. For optics it is an nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 scope. less than 300 shot count This is a very interesting custom build prefit barrel for Defiance Ruckus, Anti/X, and Tenacity actions. The blank used to build this barrel is the Bartlein 5R SS. It is 13.5 inches long and has a diameter of 1.25 inches (FTR class spec), it weights 4.1lbs and the twist is 1:10. The reamer used to make this barrel is the 308 Win 2013 FTR Team by Manson Precision. The Chamber has a long throat so it can accept super long cartridges. It shoots the 185gr bullets extremely well. Attached are two developed recipes for this barrel and you can expect very small groups. The brass I used for this barrel was 7mm-08 formed 308win which is common for the 2013 US FTR Team chamber. Ave. velocity is 2450 fps for the 185gr bullets. This barrel was built to combine requirements for bench rest shooting and hunting. It heats up much slower and has a reasonable weight for a hunting build. All shots I took from this barrel was recorded. I believe there are much room to improve the recipes but I just don't have the time to do it now. I can provide professional barrel installation (it is very easy for Defiance shoulder prefit anyway ;))
