Antique military candle stick holder..... made from a US Army helmet plume holder circa 1870 to 1890......great piece of militaria for your study or gunroom. Please note the view from the bottom ( photo 3 ) and inside the holder ( photo 5 ) show a modern small nut and bolt holding the assembly together..... could be easily replace with a period correct nut and bolt, but I have never " modified " my antique guns or militaria.

50th anniversary congratulatory message. These congratulatory messages are very rare because a 50th anniversary is a rare life milestone, paper documents degrade over the decades and congratulatory Nazi messages would often have been discarded after the fall of the regime. The German text reads: "I send you and your wife my warmest congratulations on the rare occasion of your golden wedding anniversary. I hope and wish that you may enjoy a long and untroubled retirement surrounded by your family. The Führer, Adolf Hitler." The Nazi eagle emblem and words "GOLDENEN HOCHZEIT" are rendered in gold ink and the Nazi eagle seal in the bottom left of the document is pressed into the paper. There are currently two listed for sale. Legacy Collectables $1250 US and Gettysburg Museum $1599 US (with a few extra paper documents). I prefer to keep these heirlooms in Canada, hence the pricing. This is not a reproduction or a fake. The second picture is a popular repop, as you can see it’s not even close.

The four Stock does however have a previous repair to a small crack in it but it’s only at the very front of the four Stock. See pictures for overall condition. This is a 1940 Ishapore made No 1 MK111 ( not a MK111*) with mag cutoff and period correct RFI stamped bayonet. The hardware and wood set is good to excellent condition ( for an 84 year old rifle) and as far as I can tell, completely original from the factory. Bolt, receiver, Barrel, rear sight and nose cap are all matching numbers. The magazine isn't matching numbers but is RFI stamped. The bayonet is the short 12 inch "Indian Pattern" which I believe is a 1943 made bayonet. There are some visible repairs to the butt stock, maybe field repairs or post military use - I don't know. I can't make out the markings on the underside of the butt stock but it doesn't appear to be English or Latin script, possibly Punjabi, Bengali or Burmese. The barrel is probably nearing the end of it's life but I have taken this rifle to the range numerous times and it shoots fine with pretty good accuracy at 100 yards. I didn't really want to sell this one as it's a great historical piece, but I need to reduce the amount of Rifles and spare parts I have.
