This firearm was manufactured before the manufacturer changed its name to Webley & Scott in 1897. 2.75 in. chambers. fixed chokes. double triggers. internal hammers. automatic safety. Hawkins recoil pad. double bead sight. All metal parts including the rib and both barrels are covered in intricate beautiful engraving. Wooden stock and wooden fore stock are both delicately checkered. Well cared for. Has not been fired for many decades. No rust or pitting on any metal parts. Stock has a few scratches and dents but no cracks. There is a small hairline crack on the upper right side of the fore stock. price includes an interesting looking old worn leather take down carrying case and a vintage cleaning kit in an old wooden box. more photos available on request. the shotgun was not stored in the leather carrying case.

12 ga. double barrel side by side shotgun. Made by G [George] Bate a famous English gunmaker from Birmingham England. double triggers. double exposed hammers. 2.5 inch chambers. all the metal parts of the firearm are covered with delicate intricate engraving. the barrels appear to be Damascus steel. There is no serial number from the manufacturer. There is a serial number sticker from the Canadian Firearms Registry on the side of the receiver from when the firearm was registered under the now defunct long gun registry. all old firearms records for this gunmaker were destroyed in the 1940's when the factory was bombed in WWII. The gun was made between the 1890's and the 1920's. G Bate Maker, changed its name to G Bate Ltd in the 1920's. in the 1990's the name was changed to Bate & Cross [Gunmaker] Ltd. it has been well cared for. there is no rust and no pitting. the wooden stock has some scratches and dents but is not cracked. it has not been fire for many decades.

Ever think about trying a wildcat cartridge? I have 20 Extreme dies available as well as the reamer. Wth is a 20 Extreme? It is a fast, accurate, fun shooting little 20 caliber cartridge based off the 222 Remington case that is easy on the shoulder and barrel, cheap to load for too. It was designed by my late friend and fellow gun enthusiast. No fire forming required, run the case thru the dies, trim, load and shoot. These days when components are so expensive it's nice to be able to go to the range and shoot more than a couple rounds and actually have some fun. One load I have uses only 18.6 grains of powder, that's somewhere around 375 loads to a pound of powder! Great for gopher, coyotes, fox and other small game or just target shooting for fun. This ORIGINAL 1895 Marlin rifle was shipped from the New Haven, Connecticut factory on Apr. 29, 1903. Solidly built for the larger calibers, this one in 38-56 cal. and is in NRA fine condition. The receiver now appears as silver although its original case hardening pattern can still be made out. The rest of the metal has taken on a brownish patina. All numbers and lettering are sharp and legible. The barrel a 26 inch long smokeless steel SPECIAL order half round, half octagon version, with a 1/2 magazine. The bore is good with intact rifling and a bit of shine. The wood is a SPECIAL order walnut with a beautiful grain pattern on both the forearm as well as the butt stock. While no longer factory available the 38-56 caliber is equivalent to the 35 Rem. Reloading components are available from various sources. Marlin only produced only 18,000 Model 1895's, in contrast to Winchester producing 160,000 model 1886's which was the Marlin's counterpart and competition. This alone makes the Marlin a comparatively rare firearm. Factory Letter is included. All components that are numbered have been determined to be Matching! This includes the extra fancy stocks which do not show up in the letter. The purchaser will assume all shipping costs as well as any desired insurance. Please respond via email. Most of these are over 100 years old anyway but the ammo should be relarively the same and purchasable. As modern specific arms currently have embargoes, though the laws will likely change and get better once our corrupt dictatorship is gone. With resignations owners and shops are essentially just waiting for the laws to change back or get even better just an fyi. i spoke to shop owners and gunsmiths directly who know more than most about the situation. I will only take direct trades and im not gonna transfer funds first to some scammer - and I need to see the quality also various calibers are still allowed and there are legal ways of transferring many older hand arms. The embargo is based on the recent makes not the caliber necessarily. Firstly I barely remember how to even play MTG let alone what the fk World of Warcraft game cards are. What I can say and do know is these were just received by me and I own them now as part of a family estate sale unfortunately so it legally did cost me and notary and having greedy parents and siblings isn’t fun frankly I didn’t even want these things but it was insisted in a will and I know somethings like these need to be properly protected and stored to be of any value and I don’t even trust what little family I left to do that.Digressing before I take these to some sweaty cardshop and either ask the employees at the place what they are worth get lied to and told “10 bux.” Or throw me a booster pack of Pokemans cards then display some random card I have for $3,000 in a 4 bolt locked case like I’m an NPC in TCG Manager or better yet ask the nerds in the store playing in sweaty 90 hour tournaments I figured I would check online first and I was told that FB marketplace is often the hip thing todo these days (what do I know I was 10 years old when Magic the Gathering came out and haven’t played last since I was like 12 which was like 1996: there are (and I’m guessing here) at least 300 to several hundred Magic cards and when I checked about 8 random cards there might be some World of Warcraft cards mixed in though I was told this is limited and I didn’t even know Wizards of the Coast made a WoW card game. These are seemingly in mint or near mint condition as I was also told this and my previous family member owner was OCD about that stuff it seems like a couple also have plastic sleeves with support backings to not bend or so the cards are extra protected. Now while I also have no clue in hell what any of these are worth by looking at them even if I checked all of them I would guess wrong. I know they were apparently from booster packs whatever that means. And they are 100% unsearched unchecked and unappraised aside from the ones I used in the pics and 2 random WoW cards I pulled out last night and apparently have been kept in this 2 foot cardboard shoe box full basically end to end and that seems to me like several hundred cards. I don’t know but I do remember the original graphics on the back of the cards which are there, I don’t know but my family member who is no longer around had more than this but sold them or something and may have kept the most valuable and possibly the original non reprinted versions that came out originally if that’s the case they gotta be worth something so anyone who is looking for a box full of Magic the Gathering and some extras in apparent mint condition/protected that might at least give you a more than good chance of finding a rare and valuable card missing from your collection or this box being worth a few hundred to a few grand. Its your lucky day? Again myself nor anyone else who knew my family remember nor did anyone else search, check, review, research, appraise, truly value these cards aside from the several I pulled out at random just prior to and for the pics for this ad. In addition to this I again have no freaking clue what any Magic Cards are worth these days especially if there are decades old originals in here which I am assuming there are maybe the one that might be in here is the one like the Dragon card I ripped to shreds as a kid that was worth like 20 bucks back then. Hundreds now maybe? For all I know I should be getting these officially sent away to the offical appraisal services that encase them all in clear epoxy and grade them then stamp them and for several hundred dollars mail them back in velvet bags. All stages of production are carried out entirely within the company. The manufacturing process begins with the design of the 3D model, followed by the realization of prototypes and the transfer of data to CNC machines. Through specific CAM software, the machining equipment is able to produce any component in a very short time taking instructions directly from the 3D drawings. Order and organization are common to all factory departments: the workshop with numerical control machines (CNC) for the processing of components machined from solid steel such as receivers and breeches, or for the realization of all types of stocks and other small parts; manufacturing of barrels; die casting and molding of plastic material; ovens and equipment for heat treatment; surface treatment, such as bluing, parkerizing, nickel plating, as well as equipment for grinding and polishing of metal and wood components. The entire manufacturing process is managed and coordinated by a computer system that encompasses all steps of production. This system allows for a thorough control of the execution time, thus keeping production costs tightly monitored. Finally, all firearms are visually inspected and test fired in the shooting range built inside the company before being brought to the packaging area. I have a fairly worn Lee-enfield in .303 British. I'm hoping to trade it for a Russian or Chinese SKS, or something in 6.5 (though these are far more expensive and I doubt it will happen.) All the wood is near undamaged, bit the bolt, barrel, and other metal parts are scraped and worn from use. 4 ish boxes of ammo included. Trades are preferable, but it can be purchased. For formality: PAL required on trade, even though you already owning a firearm implies one.
