In 1860 he worked in an administrative capacity when he met his future wife - Allen's daughter - at work, and after marrying into the family became a partner in the business. Henry Wadsworth, an officer in the union army, met another of Allen's daughters while still in service during the war, and married into the family as well. Upon his discharge from the army, Wadsworth joined the company which was renamed "Ethan Allen & Co." After Allen's death in 1871, the two sons-in-law took over the firm and renamed it "Forehand & Wadsworth. They would become well known especially for their bulldogs, but also their many fine pocket and large-frame revolvers, single-shot deringers and pistols. I picked this up a while ago and have never used it. It was going to be my bug out gun but life changes and i need to downsize my collection. There is some pitting on the receiver. Bubbad metal work to fit the mag. Rifling looks good. Wartak skar sd-r scope rail. And AR magwell adapter. There is a bit of finish work that needs to be done. The ammo stovepipes unless you put a shim behind the mag then it cycles fine. Might be an easy fix if you have the right tools. Topped with a Burris fullfield 3-9x40 at the moment. $1500 for the rifle, magwell, rail and scope. 1500rd crate of Chinese corrosive. extra $500.
