I am selling a very good shaped, Weatherby Mark V Accumark in 338 Lapua Mag. This rifle is in overall very good shape. Bore is excellent, fresh cerakote, new Benchmark Muzzle Break. New Pic rail. Past owner unfortunately left it in his safe untouched for a long time and there was a small amount of minor pitting near the muzzle that has been rectified and cured with treatment and cerakoting and is barely visible. The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light.
