Austrian M1895 Bayonet for the Steyr Mannlicher M1895 Rifle It has the Steyr Trademark marked on the blade as well as on the scabbard frog guard. OE over WG The opposite side of the blade has the Austrian Imperial Eagle marked on it.  The Frog Guard has both of the above markings. The Release Button works smoothly. The end of the Pommel has the number 7558 stamped on it. The Guard has the number 4233 stamped on it. Believed to have been refurbished by the Bulgarians postwar when a new serial number was added to the Guard. The blade is unsharpened with some small nicks located between 1 ½´and 3 ¼” in front of the guard. The rifling lands in front of the chamber had separated from barrel for about 1.25" and 1 land was protruding into bore. Cut off 2" of barrel chamber end. Machined new barrel end to fit receiver tighter by .002" and rechambered for 22 short only. At range gun shot 1/4" - 5 shot group at 50 yds. shooting CCI 22 short - 27 gr. HP. Seems the rifling is not shot out but can not understand rifling land separation. UNIQUE -- NO WARRANTY or REFUND from LILJA. Call phone or e-mail only. No messages.
