The windage adjustment of the rear sight was also dispensed with, and the cocking piece was changed from a round knob to a serrated slab. For sale is a Savage model 1899 lever action rifle. Chambered in SAV .303. Rotary style 5 shot magazine. 26" Barrel. Serial number 106710 dates it to 1910. The front fore grip had a crack in it was professional repaired by a local gunsmith. The blueing was also redone. Other than that the rifle is in good condition for its age, see pictures. I have a fairly worn Lee-enfield in .303 British. I'm hoping to trade it for a Russian or Chinese SKS, or something in 6.5 (though these are far more expensive and I doubt it will happen.) All the wood is near undamaged, bit the bolt, barrel, and other metal parts are scraped and worn from use. 4 ish boxes of ammo included.
