I have a CVA Scout v2 stainless synthetic with muzzle brake single shot 45-70 for sale it has exactly 20 round through it. It shoots sub MOA.with Federal blue box 300 grain. If you wanted a 45-70 but dit not want to pay the price of a lever action this is a great option. Fun to shoot and carry. If interested I also have the dies, brass bullets and powder for it. I have a very good condition vintage Winchester 1885 in .45 70 that I'm prepared to sell. It started out as a .38-55 and was sleeved to .22 l.r.. I had the 28 inch, half octagon, half round heavy barrel bored and rechambered by Ron K. Smith in Alberta to .45 70 and an aperture sight installed. As you would expect with an RKS barrel, it is accurate. It has correct walnut stocks, refinished, with the heavy crescent butt plate. The action wall has been reduced on the right side to more easily eject spent .22 l.r. shells; Mr. Smith assured me this does not reduce the strength of the action. The lever/trigger guard has been modified to make levering faster. I've got $2800 invested in this rifle which I'd like to recover. I'll split actual shipping costs with the buyer. This model has a 16" threaded barrel - for adding a muzzle device (c/w thread protector). It also has a paracord-wrapped big-loop lever.
