Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers (PCMR) fighting knife from World War II. The PCMR was a home guard/militia unit formed in early 1942 specifically to defend British Columbia’s west coast against a potential Japanese invasion after Pearl Harbor. They were part of Canada’s Reserve Army, composed mostly of older men, hunters, outdoorsmen, and locals familiar with the rugged terrain. They patrolled remote areas, watched for enemy activity, and were trained in guerrilla tactics, demolitions, and small arms. PCMR knives were often improvised or field-modified from available surplus parts due to equipment shortages for these volunteer units. A common (and well-documented) type was conversions of old Ross rifle bayonets (Canadian WWI-era .303 Ross bayonets, which were plentiful and obsolete by WWII). These were cut down, reshaped into a broad fighting/utility blade (clip point, single-edged with some curve), fitted with a simple wooden handle (often riveted or pinned), and given a metal guard/crossguard.   A broad, darkened carbon steel blade with patina/wear typical of field use or age. •  Wooden handle secured by pins/rivets. •  Metal bolster/guard with markings but this is likely misread or a coincidental stamp; PCMR examples sometimes have odd or repurposed markings from surplus parts. German Third Reich-era SA (Sturmabteilung) service dagger, also known as the Model 1933 SA dress dagger. The SA was the Nazi Party’s paramilitary “Brownshirts” organization. This ceremonial dagger (not a combat weapon) features: •  a wooden grip with an inlaid nickel-silver SA rune button and eagle emblem •  nickel fittings •  a double-edged blade etched with the motto “Alles für Deutschland” (“All for Germany”) •  a brown scabbard The design draws from 16th-century Swiss Holbein daggers. Your example has a brown-painted scabbard (common on later wartime production), solid nickel or plated fittings, and a wooden grip—typical for SA daggers (NSKK versions are identical except for black scabbards after 1936). The blade shows a faint marking near the ricasso (possibly a maker logo or RZM code), light runner marks, and some wear/patina, indicating age and use. No visible Gau mark (regional stamp) on the lower crossguard suggests it may be mid-to-late production (post-1935, when such marks were phased out). The handle that is fixed to the knife is reproduction, but it does come with the original handle which is shown in the last picture. This is an original WWII-era Canadian “Crash” tanker helmet (officially known as the Helmet, Crash, Tank Battalion), a rare piece of Canadian armored forces gear produced in limited numbers (around 12,000 total) starting in 1940. It features a cloth-covered cork shell (painted black), rubber side vents, a web suspension liner, leather chinstrap, and the distinctive leather “scrum” (headphone holder) laced and buttoned underneath for radio equipment. These were primarily used by tank crews in Canada (not issued overseas) and remained in service until the 1960s. Your example appears complete, with visible wear and patina consistent with age and use, including some cracking on the shell and scrum—common for these due to the materials. This is a VZ24 Czech 8mm mauser with the “E lion” crest The receiver has formed a patina finish to it but the crest is deep and all details of the lion is clear. It is a non matching full furniture rifle. Top hand Gaurd is cracked the bands hold it together. Light/normal wear/scratches on stock wood and metal has not been refinished. Front sight is missing the VZ sight Gaurd a common part missing and not to hard to source, front sight is correct with the sight gaurd channel so the fix is easy as sourcing the part and sliding it in the channel. History: sourcing is a bit hard as many documents were lost/destroyed or not maintained during and post WWII. Some information I Did find on the E lion crest was some can be as old as 1935 but most with records dated and started to show up in 1936 they started to disappear in 1939 and many receivers with the Czech lion were required to be scrubbed after Germany absorbed Czechoslovakia during WWII.

These are incredibly rare, it's in fantastic shape, shiny bore, and an original sling not a repro the bayonet lug is unmarked though and all the history is as such.  1941 duv K98k was likely captured or surrendered after WWII.Instead of being destroyed or exported immediately, it was: Inspected Possibly re-barreled or cleaned up Reissued to DDR police or military The W in starburst/shield marks it as part of the DDR’s official arms inventory.  these are incredibly uncommon, and east german stuff is highly collectable i can ship but I highly suggest getting insurance.
