Sharps & Hankins "No. 3 C" Four-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Caliber Rim Fire , SCARCE This one is a Sharps & Hankins four-barrel pepperbox classified as a "Model 3C". It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms. In 1862, Christian Sharps formed "Sharps & Hankins", in partnership with William Hankins, who had sold his own plant to William Uhlinger. Sharps & Hankins would continue until 1866, producing their four-barrel pepperboxes, single shot pistols, and military grade long arms in competition with his former company in Hartford. Soon after the war, the partnership was dissolved, and Sharps would go back to his previous name of C. Sharps & Co. He continued to manufacture the four-barrel pepperboxes until 1874, when the firm was dissolved after his death.

Iver Johnson "American Bull Dog", .38 RF short and long Revolver Iver Johnson was one of the most prolific makers of pocket revolvers in America, from 1871 to nearly the present. One of the earliest makers of bulldog-type, double action revolvers, the Iver Johnson American Bull Dog is well known and in demand. These were made by Johnson's and the relief grip showing the American eagle on a shield is typical of Johnson's ware. ​ This one is in very fine to excellent condition, with 99% original nickel. The action is accurate and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The bore of the 2 1/2-inch barrel is good with strong rifling throughout. The black hard-rubber grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 2407, excellent overall. History & Background Iver Johnson (1841-1895) was a Norwegian gunsmith who came from Bergen to America in 1863. He found work immediately at Ethan Allen's factory in Worcester, Mass. where he met Martin Bye. Johnson worked at Allen's through the civil war years, as demand for firearms was high, and work was plentiful. By 1871 Johnson and Bye had decided to venture out on their own and founded Johnson Bye & Co. in Worcester, moving to Fitchburg by 1891. In 1883 Martin Bye left the company, selling his interest to Iver. The company name was changed to its most famous form, "Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass.", a name it would retain until the outbreak of the First World War. Iver Johnson did not only produce a large variety of firearms, they were also famous for their excellent quality bicycles and motorcycles. The company would remain in business until 1993. The name was "revived" in 2006 and the brand is still used today.

Forehand & Wadsworth "British Bulldog" 44 Russian / 44 CF Revolver This "British Bulldog" is was optimized for fast double action and self defense in single and double action . The markings are sharp, and the action is accurate. The loading gate function properly. The cylinder indexes and locks up on trigger pull as it should. The bore of the 2.5 inch barrel is fine with sharp strong rifling. Matching serial numbers on the frame and cylinder. The black original grips are excellent and undamaged showing no wear. SN 28261, very fine overall.​ History & Background Sullivan Forehand was an employee of Ethan Allen, the famous New England gunmaker. In 1860 he worked in an administrative capacity when he met his future wife - Allen's daughter - at work, and after marrying into the family became a partner in the business. Henry Wadsworth, an officer in the union army, met another of Allen's daughters while still in service during the war, and married into the family as well. Upon his discharge from the army, Wadsworth joined the company which was renamed "Ethan Allen & Co." After Allen's death in 1871, the two sons-in-law took over the firm and renamed it "Forehand & Wadsworth. They would become well known especially for their bulldogs, but also their many fine pocket and large-frame revolvers, single-shot deringers and pistols. Forehand & Wadsworth remained in business until 1890 when Henry Wadsworth retired and Sullivan renamed the company "Forehand Arms". After Sullivan's death in 1898 the company foundered and was taken over by Hopkins & Allen in 1902. ​

Ammo is available but sold separately. This one is compact concealed carry version of famous Colt M1877 "Thunderer" was made for self defense and fast action. With "bulldog" type short barre and no regular extractor on the side this revolver made for concealed carry and optimised for fast action. The action is strong and crisp, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly, without any play in the cylinder. The bore of the 2 1/2-inch barrel is excellent mirror bright with strong rifling. The black hard rubber grips are very good and undamaged. SN 82458. ​ History & Background The M1877 was Colt's first double action revolver. Colt insisted on inventing their own double action mechanism, partly because there were numerous patents for DA revolvers in effect, which Colt did not want to infringe upon, but also because they trusted their chief engineers William Mason and C.B. Richards to come up with an original design. For this reason, the M1877's action is like a Swiss clock: it is somewhat convoluted and complicated, and it has earned the nickname "the gunsmith's favorite" over time. The gun did enjoy tremendous popularity however, and was manufactured for 32 years, even after Colt had improved the mechanism and simplified it considerably in later years. The M1877 was available in three calibers - .32, .38 and .41, and was originally called "Lightning". Later collectors coined the name "Rainmaker" for the .32 and "Thunderer" for the .41. In Canada, only the .41 caliber gun with serial numbers below 107,000 is considered an antique, as the others are either exempt calibers, or made after January 1, 1898.

This 12g is in good shape for being made around 1907. It’s made by Marlin for the National Fire Arms Co and is identical to an 1898 model Marlin for TakeDown steps. Some say it’s a Model 21 Marlin. We have left the investigation to the new owner as well as the safety to shoot this nearly 120 year old shotgun is your responsibility. There is an old wrist repair that was well done and still solid. Make a great display piece, and comes with 1 brass 12g case with primer. Has a great patina on receiver, 50% blue remains on barrel. This 12 gauge single shot has had the barrel shortened to about 20 inches. Barrel and receiver are in nice condition with little to no scratches shown in pictures. This item was manufactured by Shepherd hardware company in New York. Patent March 14, 1882. Sheppard was the company to make these banks and only made them for 10 years the original bank when you put the coin in his hand and press the lever, he deposits the coin into his mouth while the eyes roll back very high vintage condition with original paint, no cracks or brakes some minor paint loss due to its age of 144 years. Heavy cast-iron construction man with red buttoned down shirt and bowtie. Has original flat screw back bottom plate has original Allen wrench nut. This is in great collectable working condition. Size is 5 1/2 inches in length and height is 6 1/2 inches.

Picked up this rifle a while back in a deal and it is surplus to my needs.  1943 dated No1 MkIII* made by Enfield during WW2.  It is non-matching and has an Australian '41 dated barrel put on it at some point. Action and barrel have some tooling marks from the barrel change. Action has some minor surface corrosion and still has cosmoline in the nooks and crannies.  Bright shiny bore with good rifling. Has Parker Hale Hook type sling swivel attachments. Comes with proper 10 rnd mag. Mag could use some steel wool and bluing. As stated, picked it up in a deal and I know nothing of it other than I was told it had no problems and shot well.  Pick up in St Albert. Can ship on buyer's coin. PAL will need to be verified.
