The S8 wraps backwards over the barrel and makes the barrel look like a shorter barreled, suppressed firearm without doing either of those things. It is made out of a corrosion resistant stainless steel, nitrided black, for years of hard professional use. Although the linear compensator does not decrease the sound the firearm makes, it does direct that sound away from the shooter making the shooting experience a bit easier on the ears. The S8 compensator comes in 3 threading patterns: 1/2x28TPI (the .223 standard). 5/8x24TPI 1/2x36TPI The compensator requires a barrel diameter less than 1” with an unobstructed 2” of barrel behind the threads (before thing like gas blocks, front sight towers or bayonet lugs). If you have things like front sight posts that prevent a wrap around comp, consider the S9. The safety pin of the Siderlock trigger is a precise positioning system and when engaged blocks the movement of the central pivot avoiding an accidental discharge of the weapon. The Siderlock trigger offers the option of keeping the pistol in its original firing configuration simply by not engaging the lock. The Siderlock concept is simple: With a push on the safety pin a sliding pin acts to block or release the movement of the central pivot of the trigger, where by avoiding an accidental discharge when the slide is in the block position, and behaves exactly as the original Glock trigger when in the release position, all the while maintaining the original manufacture specifications. Once the Siderlock trigger is installed on the pistol, firing is accomplished by sliding the safety pin to the left prior to pulling the trigger. The .44 caliber model was not released until 1881, and is variably known as the No. 3 Double Action, the Double Action "Navy" (a name Daniel Wesson wanted to keep alive to differentiate this model from the No. 3 single action, and still holding out hope to sell it to the Russian navy), and the First Model Double Action. Originally, the .44 Double Action was made with a 1 7/16 inch cylinder, however an optional .44-40 version was available as of 1886. This required a 1 9/16 inch cylinder, and a longer frame. The firm soon realized that it was too expensive and cumbersome to manufacture two different sizes of frames for what was essentially the same gun, and the shorter cylinder and frame were dropped in favour of the longer one in the early 1890's. The No. 3 frame .44 double action top breaks were dropped from the Smith and Wesson catalogue in 1913.

Barreled Action The action is used in the ANSCHÜTZ Luxus repeaters 1416/1417 and 1516/1517. This is a bolt action with cam cocking, claw extractor, additional cartridge holder and ejector. Telescopic sight mounting is by an 0.43" wide ANSCHÜTZ Wave Style V-block dovetail rail or by additional drilled and tapped holes. The sliding safety catch onthe right hand side blocks the trigger sear in the safe position and simultaneously lifts the trigger sear and bolt release latch. The bolt can also be opened in the safe position, allowing unloading the firearm with the safety engaged. Trigger ANSCHÜTZ target two-stage and single-stage triggers have always set the standard for quality, reliability, and precision. It is not without reason that ANSCHÜTZ triggers are known as the best in the world. Many manufacturers offer adapters for integration of this master­piece of the German gunsmith‘s art into their firearms. The light weight, hardened and finely ground trigger components facilitate fast and consistent trigger release. Sight set This model is delivered without sights. However, the system sleeve and the barrel end are equipped with an 11 mm wide prism rail for attaching a rear sight and front sight tunnel. Stock The lacquered multi-purpose beavertail stock has nothing in common with the classic European hunting stock. The wide, easy-to-use beaver tail fore-end with integrated aluminum profile rail can be quickly and easily added to other accessories such as Handstops can be fitted. The easy-to-grip hallmarking on the handle offers optimal hold even in damp weather. The buttstock with black rubber cap 4709 A is prepared for a clamping piece, which enables cap extensions to be attached. Therefore, this shaft is also ideal for hunting competition shooting.
