WW1 French M1886 bayonet for the Lebel rifle. This is the war time simplified version without the quillion (hook) and with the brass handle. This version with the brass handle is of a type produced during the First World War, from the 25th of October 1914 until July of 1917.   The left side of the blade has the initials SG stamped just in front of the guard to identify the Maker.  The "S.G." mark on a French bayonet from the World War I era stands for Sutterlin Lippmann & Cie., a manufacturer located in Saint Étienne. The base of the guard has a stylized letter P with the number 45979 stamped into it. The scabbard has this matching serial number. The base of the grip has the number 11 stamped into it. Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers (PCMR) fighting knife from World War II. The PCMR was a home guard/militia unit formed in early 1942 specifically to defend British Columbia’s west coast against a potential Japanese invasion after Pearl Harbor. They were part of Canada’s Reserve Army, composed mostly of older men, hunters, outdoorsmen, and locals familiar with the rugged terrain. They patrolled remote areas, watched for enemy activity, and were trained in guerrilla tactics, demolitions, and small arms. PCMR knives were often improvised or field-modified from available surplus parts due to equipment shortages for these volunteer units. A common (and well-documented) type was conversions of old Ross rifle bayonets (Canadian WWI-era .303 Ross bayonets, which were plentiful and obsolete by WWII). These were cut down, reshaped into a broad fighting/utility blade (clip point, single-edged with some curve), fitted with a simple wooden handle (often riveted or pinned), and given a metal guard/crossguard.   A broad, darkened carbon steel blade with patina/wear typical of field use or age. •  Wooden handle secured by pins/rivets. •  Metal bolster/guard with markings but this is likely misread or a coincidental stamp; PCMR examples sometimes have odd or repurposed markings from surplus parts. Hi everyone, I have a very nice 1945 RCMP (MP) Number 4 mark I* in .303 for sale. As you may know these are a fairly rare rifle and don’t come up for sale that often. This one is in great condition with a few handling marks. It is currently a little grubby from storage, but I’ll be cleaning it up shortly. The serial number is not listed in the Klancher records, but that’s not unusual as most aren’t, but it falls well within the range. $2,500 plus shipping to the majors. PAL sale. Cash or EMT only. French Model 1874 T Back Sword Bayonet for use on the 11mm M1874 Gras rifle Manufactured at the French State Arms Plant of Tulle in August 1878 The Gras was the last of the French sword type bayonets and was manufactured from 1874 until about 1885. The Bayonet and Scabbard have matching Serial numbers 96363 The left side of the guard is engraved with what looks like half a written L and the numbers 96363.  The scabbard has the same mark and numbers on the left side. Above the number on the guard are 2 diamonds each with the letter B in them. The front of the guard just above the top of the blade has the letters L and P The pommel has the number 2 stamped inside at the base along with other stamps I have not identified. The top of the tang has what looks like a C6 stamped in it. The back of the blade is engraved with M d’Armes de Tulle Aout 1878   The Spring Lock works as designed.   Overall Length – with blade in scabbard  - 25 7/8” Length of Bayonet – 25 3/8” The blade has never been sharpened. Length of Grip including the Guard – 4 3/4” Blade Length – 20 3/8”   $200.00   Thanks, Phil

Here is a very good overall condition stepped barrel,  hex receiver Sako M24 Mosin from 1924. No rust or pitting anywhere. Stock is also very good with very few marks for its age. Bore is in excellent condition.  I recently took this rifle on trade from another collector. He took very good condition of this particular rifle. Rifle comes with adjustable sling. See pictures matching numbers, barrel and bolt.  Sako, which produced these in the 1920s as part of the Civil Guard’s arsenal. The 1924 date fits perfectly as the start of M/24 production, and the serial number 17266 is consistent with early examples. These were based on captured Russian M1891 actions, often with new barrels (you can see a stepped barrel from the photos), and saw use in WWII during Finland’s conflicts with the Soviet Union (Winter War and Continuation War). Look at this early war survivor! The Stock matches the breach as well as the bolt! You don’t see that too often! This is a two groove barrel in good condition nice and clean. Also comes with a Canadian C broad Arrow 1942 marked original sling. The stock is in very good condition. However, the wrist does have a small armoury repair. This makes a nice collector piece or go to the range and use it.
