Like the original, the pistol fires a .17″ (4.5mm) ball or pellet using only a percussion cap and no powder charge needed but can be added for different power levels. To fire it, shooters place a ball into the breech plug small tube (which is capped) inserted against the barrel. The hammer fires a # 11 or 10 cap, which expels the ball. Sharps & Hankins "No. 3 C" Four-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Caliber Rim Fire , SCARCE This one is a Sharps & Hankins four-barrel pepperbox classified as a "Model 3C". It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms. In 1862, Christian Sharps formed "Sharps & Hankins", in partnership with William Hankins, who had sold his own plant to William Uhlinger. Sharps & Hankins would continue until 1866, producing their four-barrel pepperboxes, single shot pistols, and military grade long arms in competition with his former company in Hartford. Soon after the war, the partnership was dissolved, and Sharps would go back to his previous name of C. Sharps & Co. He continued to manufacture the four-barrel pepperboxes until 1874, when the firm was dissolved after his death.

Colt M1889 "Navy" Double Action Revolver, .41 Long Colt, SCARCE 3-Inch Barrel​ This model is a marked departure from previous Colt revolver designs, and would be produced in a few variants from 1889 until 1907, with some 330,000 made. Many were sold to the US military. It has a counter-clockwise rotating cylinder with locking slots on the back. This one is in very fine condition with a scarce 3-inch barrel. It retains 100% of the nickel. Excellent, sharp markings, matching assembly numbers on all parts. Nice nitre-blue on the hammer and trigger. The action is crisp and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play on trigger pull. The bore is very fine and bright, with sharp rifling. The grips are very fine with no wear . SN 25842. History & Background This model is an important milestone in Colt handgun development, as it is the first American revolver with a swing-out cylinder mounted on a crane, a development which would become the standard for modern revolvers to this day. The 1889 cylinder mechanism was already "on the books" as early as 1880, based on designs of Colt engineers William Mason, C.J Ehbets and Horace Lord. It would take almost ten years for Colt executives to give the green light to manufacture this gun, and once it was available, the US government quickly took notice and ordered several thousand for the Navy. Colt adopted the name "New Navy" in honor of this order. The gun has an interesting counter-clockwise cylinder rotation and a locking mechanism which relies entirely on the two-pronged hand. The 1889 model would remain in production for 18 years. When it was first introduced in 1889, it met with no competition from the other major makers - Smith & Wesson were still heavily engaged in manufacturing top-break revolvers, and Remington only had their solid frame revolvers with removable cylinders to offer. It would take S&W another ten years before they had a viable alternative to Colt's design.

Frank Wesson Single-Shot Pistol, .32 RF Short/Long RARE Frank Wesson, elder brother to Daniel Baird Wesson of S&W fame was an accomplished gunmaker when Daniel was still a boy. The two younger Wessons would apprentice with their oldest brother Edwin, and learn much of their expertise from this talented and versatile master. Frank would move to California in the 1850's, probably lured by the opportunities presented by the gold rush, making and repairing guns for the local needs. By 1859 he had moved back to Worceater where he set up shop in his own name. Frank is best known for his fine rifles, "bicycle rifles", deringers and single-shot pistols. Frank Wesson never ventured into the revolver market until he had partnered with his nephew Gilbert Harrington to form Wesson & Harrington. The revolver making business continued to evolve as Wesson & Harrington first, and then Harrington & Richardson.​ This is Frank Wesson's "medium frame" single-shot pistol, chambered in .32 rim fire. It is in excellent condition, with original blue. The little lever on the bottom of the frame releases the barrel lock when the hammer is in the safety position, and the barrel snaps open as it should. It will not open if the hammer is down, or fully cocked. The bore of the3 5/8 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp rifling. The rosewood grips are very fine. This is an early model of the first variant, of which only about 1000 were ever made. SN 54, excellent overall.

Here is a very good overall condition stepped barrel,  hex receiver Sako M24 Mosin from 1924. No rust or pitting anywhere. Stock is also very good with very few marks for its age. Bore is in excellent condition.  I recently took this rifle on trade from another collector. He took very good condition of this particular rifle. Rifle comes with adjustable sling. See pictures matching numbers, barrel and bolt.  Sako, which produced these in the 1920s as part of the Civil Guard’s arsenal. The 1924 date fits perfectly as the start of M/24 production, and the serial number 17266 is consistent with early examples. These were based on captured Russian M1891 actions, often with new barrels (you can see a stepped barrel from the photos), and saw use in WWII during Finland’s conflicts with the Soviet Union (Winter War and Continuation War). Look at this early war survivor! The Stock matches the breach as well as the bolt! You don’t see that too often! This is a two groove barrel in good condition nice and clean. Also comes with a Canadian C broad Arrow 1942 marked original sling. The stock is in very good condition. However, the wrist does have a small armoury repair. This makes a nice collector piece or go to the range and use it.
