  I am downsizing my antique gun and militaria collection to move into a much smaller house with a much smaller gunroom.......offering an original 1880's Mills pattern , woven ammo belt with a rare 1881 Patent Mills/Orndorff brass " OLD RELIABLE " buckle and retainer. The loops hold .40 to .45 caliber rounds and included are twenty .44-90 Sharps bottleneck cartridges. Please view the photos closely as the belt has been well used and has some damaged loops and earlier field repairs.....I have always refrained from doing any repairs or "enhancements" to my original antiques as the wear and tear is a natural part of its history and character. The cartridges are not original but are repro brass which was purchased about 45 years ago and which I loaded with black powder and some very old primers which were purchased about 50 years ago ( used for display purposes only ). The belt and attached buckle were purchased by me in 1967 at an Ohio gun show. The brass buckle has that beautiful patina which only time can create and it does have a few dents from honest wear and tear.....contact me if you interested and need more photos, or different angles, as the website only allows 10 photos. This is a rarely encountered ensemble.    I am willing to ship at "BUYER'S EXPENSE" but it will need to be by a trackable and insured method, or I offer local pick up --- OF COURSE I CANNOT SHIP THE BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGES WITHOUT REMOVING THE POWDER AS THEY ARE CLASSED AS EXPLOSIVES.......THIS COULD BE POSSIBLE AS I HAVE NEVER CRIMPED MY SHARPS CARTRIDGE RELOADS WITH PAPER PATCHED BULLETS. For sale is a Savage model 1899 lever action rifle. Chambered in SAV .303. Rotary style 5 shot magazine. 26" Barrel. Serial number 106710 dates it to 1910. The front fore grip had a crack in it was professional repaired by a local gunsmith. The blueing was also redone. Other than that the rifle is in good condition for its age, see pictures. This is all once fired range brass which has been deprimed, cleaned and polished and looks very good. It can be used to reload for either 223 or 556 ammo. I have several head stamps available ( IVI, LC, PSD ). You will have to swage or ream the primer pockets to remove the factory crimp which is a very easy process. Weatherby mark V backcountry 2.0 7mm wby mag limited run from Weatherby. Topped with a leupold VX6 HD 3-18 x 44 thats color matched to the stock. Comes in a boyt hard case with tag on it from the wild sheep foundation. Bottom metal and action and barrel are also engraved wild sheep foundation. Some Weatherby select plus ammo with 146gr hammer hunter projectiles. Also a reloading die set and some norma and Weatherby brass. I do have some 7mm nosler accubonds and barnes lrx. That could go with the rifle.

British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet with leather scabbard This is a British M1853 Socket Bayonet for use with the Enfield, Snider, Martini rifles. This 1853 pattern was the standard bayonet carried by nearly every British infantryman of the mid-19th century and widely used during the Crimean War, Indian Mutiny, and in numerous colonial campaigns. Production of the1853 pattern socket bayonet continued throughout the life of the Enfield Muzzleloader and the Snider rifle and was finally terminated in 1875. The blade has a slight downward curve to allow easier reloading while fixed to the muzzle-loading Enfield rifle. Measuring 44 cm (17 inches), it features a triangular cross-section with fullers on all three sides, tapering to a narrow, down-turned point. The blade is in good solid condition but is badly tarnished. The scabbard is in fair condition. The bottom brass below the frog hook is pulled free from the leather scabbard. The brass tip on the scabbard wiggles a bit but is still solidly attached. The stitching on the scabbard in the last 3 ½” above the end cap is partially missing but the scabbard is solid and not separating. The scabbard is stamped W.D. (War Department) below the frog stud with the Broad Arrow symbol above the initials. This stamping is difficult to see. The top of the blade at the base is stamped with an E over a crown over the number 25 Overall Length – with blade in scabbard - 21 3/8” Length of Bayonet – 20 3/4” Length of Grip including the Guard – 3 5/8” Blade Length – 17 1/8” $100.00 Thanks, Phil
