The square metal piece in your photos (the black rectangular plate with two screw holes, partially unwrapped from the preservative paper) is the mounting plate (also called the base plate or bracket) for the WWII U.S. M15 Rifle Grenade Launcher Sight. It has been professionally cerakoted in grey by Corlane's Customs. It comes with a set of stainless steel 1" rings (also cerakoted in black). It is in great condition with low round count (aroud 50). There are some very minor marks from normal usage. The bore is shiny with strong rifling!
