This is an original WWII-era Canadian “Crash” tanker helmet (officially known as the Helmet, Crash, Tank Battalion), a rare piece of Canadian armored forces gear produced in limited numbers (around 12,000 total) starting in 1940. It features a cloth-covered cork shell (painted black), rubber side vents, a web suspension liner, leather chinstrap, and the distinctive leather “scrum” (headphone holder) laced and buttoned underneath for radio equipment. These were primarily used by tank crews in Canada (not issued overseas) and remained in service until the 1960s. This is a correct WW Suhler Consortium M98 rifle. It is my opinion this rifle was reworked by the German military for use in WWII given the original WWII German armorers replacement. It is in original condition with all parts visible numbers matching. No import mark is present. Triggergaurd is unnumnered however it shows an Imperial H woth crown on the magazine floorplate. The magazine follower is an original German armorer Wafdenampt stamped replacement part. Buttplate is correctly unnumbered. Rating Definition: Excellent. Rifle retains 90-95 % crisp original finish. Stock: The walnut stock is correct and serialized 4473 to the rifle in good condition with a crack on the front left side between the upper barrel band and rear barrel band. Note: Stock pictures in listing show what looks like a crack in the mid area of the buttstock however there is no evidence of this on either the pistol grip side of the buttplate side where the stock is cracked whatsoever. Additional pics can be taken to show this. I hypothesize that this is perhaps a shrinkage in the wood due to rifles age. Rifle shows typical handling marks. No evidence of sanding. Bore: Bore is good with very pronounced lands and grooves visible. Rifle shows a great crown and has a smooth chamber. Mechanically sound, the rifle is in excellent condition. The action functions as it should.

This one is in excellent original condition. it is "in the white", meaning it has never been blued or plated. It is not pitted, and all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The action is excellent and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The walnut grips are excellent and show no damage this one looks like new. SN G47715, manufactured in 1886, rated excellent overall. The this one was checked and tested for smokeless powder by gunsmith. This one was professionally modified to accept 45auto rim and .45ACP cartridges on a moon clip and also can be used with original .455 Webley ammo. The gun is in like new condition with everything tight and working like a Swiss clock and plenty of the original blue remaining. The action is accurate strong and very smooth. The cylinder indexes and locks properly without play. The bore of the 4-inch barrel is good and mirror bright, with sharp rifling. The grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 30929, very fine overall. History & Background Philip Webley & Son began making top break, hinged revolvers as early as 1880, with the Charles Pryse patented design they acquired for use on their Webley-Pryse revolvers. Soon thereafter an improved locking mechanism by Michael Kaufmann produced the Webley-Kaufmann design, followed by Webley's own improved "Government" model, or "WG". It was not until 1887, when the British military hoped to replace the Enfield revolver that the first "Mark" revolver model was introduced. The Mk I was soon followed by the MkII (1894), then III (1897), and eventually as many as six variations were made, between 1887 and 1949. WANTED( not by fhe “man”): to buy or sell gold old silver US/bullion valuables straight cash for single action/double action old antique six shootet styles or others for example the Peacemaker types and any others in good condition but need any sold to be compatible with current ammos in centerfire type rounds however it’s possible that it would need to come disabled ie without the pin installed to be actually legal also if it’s not registrable than it is grandfathered already and am willing to take any of these kinds off someone who has one they either had handed down or don’t want as I’m a collector of not just arms but relics and antiques that often get sold and hidden by museums or end up lost in some landfill or at best a hidden collection this is specifically meant to be for my family business as anything of that age and from historically permitted period percussion arms are a big part of my grandfathers original business as are shipwreck memorabilia. Most of these are over 100 years old anyway but the ammo should be relarively the same and purchasable. As modern specific arms currently have embargoes, though the laws will likely change and get better once our corrupt dictatorship is gone. With resignations owners and shops are essentially just waiting for the laws to change back or get even better just an fyi. i spoke to shop owners and gunsmiths directly who know more than most about the situation. I will only take direct trades and im not gonna transfer funds first to some scammer - and I need to see the quality also various calibers are still allowed and there are legal ways of transferring many older hand arms. The embargo is based on the recent makes not the caliber necessarily. The sturdily built case weighs about 17.8 lbs. by itself and measures 53 1/2 " x 13 1/4 " x 4 1/2" . I have tried my best to photograph and show the few dents on both sides of the case. These are now in the $600 plus price range for a new one.
