Ruger No1 in 30-06. Excellent condition. Bore and crown are pristine. A few scratches and dings on the stock from use. This one is a beauty to shoot and was my go to gun on the farm. Very accurate and indeed a must have for collectors of Ruger No 1's. This gun was made in 1990 according to the serial number. Comes with distressed leather sling and heavy duty uncle mikes sling swivels. Look at this beautiful 1943 numbers matching to the breach and bolt handle. The stock is in high condition with very few marks at all. Also comes with a Canadian marked 1943 canvas battle sling. Markings are faint, but there. Metal retains good finish. Four is shiny and clean, but I would say good to fair condition. A small LB is also present on the front band. This would make an excellent addition to any collection. Everything operates as it should. Also comes with 1943 dated Canadian marked action cover. This ORIGINAL 1895 Marlin rifle was shipped from the New Haven, Connecticut factory on Apr. 29, 1903. Solidly built for the larger calibers, this one in 38-56 cal. and is in NRA fine condition. The receiver now appears as silver although its original case hardening pattern can still be made out. The rest of the metal has taken on a brownish patina. All numbers and lettering are sharp and legible. The barrel a 26 inch long smokeless steel SPECIAL order half round, half octagon version, with a 1/2 magazine. The bore is good with intact rifling and a bit of shine. The wood is a SPECIAL order walnut with a beautiful grain pattern on both the forearm as well as the butt stock. While no longer factory available the 38-56 caliber is equivalent to the 35 Rem. Reloading components are available from various sources. Marlin only produced only 18,000 Model 1895's, in contrast to Winchester producing 160,000 model 1886's which was the Marlin's counterpart and competition. This alone makes the Marlin a comparatively rare firearm. Factory Letter is included. All components that are numbered have been determined to be Matching! This includes the extra fancy stocks which do not show up in the letter. The purchaser will assume all shipping costs as well as any desired insurance. Please respond via email. It has a 32" heavy octagon barrel (w/ an OAL of 49"). This model has a hand oiled walnut stock and forend, with beautiful color case hardened finish on the action. It has a blade (front) and ladder (rear) sight (adjustable for windage & elevation). It is in great condition with only one box of ammo (i.e., 20 rounds) through it. This rifle weighs over 10 lbs!
