WW2 Pacific Coast Militia Rangers PCMR Survival knife
Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers (PCMR) fighting knife from World War II. The PCMR was a home guard/militia unit formed in early 1942 specifically to defend British Columbia’s west coast against a potential Japanese invasion after Pearl Harbor. They were part of Canada’s Reserve Army, composed mostly of older men, hunters, outdoorsmen, and locals familiar with the rugged terrain. They patrolled remote areas, watched for enemy activity, and were trained in guerrilla tactics, demolitions, and small arms. PCMR knives were often improvised or field-modified from available surplus parts due to equipment shortages for these volunteer units. A common (and well-documented) type was conversions of old Ross rifle bayonets (Canadian WWI-era .303 Ross bayonets, which were plentiful and obsolete by WWII). These were cut down, reshaped into a broad fighting/utility blade (clip point, single-edged with some curve), fitted with a simple wooden handle (often riveted or pinned), and given a metal guard/crossguard.   A broad, darkened carbon steel blade with patina/wear typical of field use or age. •  Wooden handle secured by pins/rivets. •  Metal bolster/guard with markings but this is likely misread or a coincidental stamp; PCMR examples sometimes have odd or repurposed markings from surplus parts. WW2 1943 Canadian/British holster
Here is a Canadian/British origin and the C broad arrow marking), and cross-referencing the images (including the faint stamping that reads “Z.L.&T. LTD 1943” along with the C broad arrow symbol), this is an original Canadian WWII Pattern 1937 (P37) web pistol holster. Features •  Khaki/tan heavy cotton canvas construction, typical of British/Commonwealth web gear from the era to save on leather due to wartime shortages. •  Flap closure with brass snap (often called a “lift-the-dot” fastener in some variants). •  Brass or metal belt hanger and loops on the back for attachment to P37 web belts or pistol belts. •  Angled design for right-side hip carry, with a reinforced muzzle end. •  Markings: “Z.L.&T. LTD 1943” refers to the manufacturer Zephyr Looms & Textiles Ltd. (Toronto, Canada), a known WWII contractor for Canadian military gear. The “C broad arrow” (often stylized as C↑ or C with an arrow inside) is the Canadian government property/acceptance mark, indicating it was issued for Canadian forces (part of the British Commonwealth system, where the broad arrow denotes ordnance property, and the “C” specifies Canada). This holster was designed primarily for revolvers like the Webley Mk IV .455 or Enfield No. 2 .38, which were standard for Canadian troops early in WWII. However, similar P37 holsters were also used or adapted for the Canadian-made Inglis Browning Hi-Power 9mm pistol (produced from 1944 onward). Original Canadian WWII P37 canvas holsters in good used condition (like this one, with intact hardware and no major tears) typically sell for $150–$350 on sites like eBay, GunsInternational, or militaria forums/auctions. Factors influencing price include: Invasion date1943 date (pre-U.S. entry into the war, during the British Commonwealth’s initial buildup). Clear markings (the C broad arrow and manufacturer stamp add provenance). Condition: This appears solid but field-used, so more toward the $200–$300 range. Recent comparable sales include similar Z.L.&T. Ltd.-made holsters from 1943–1945 fetching $200–$300. Can ship anywhere in Canada Please see my other ads for collectable military accessories.

WWII-era British military commando Wrist Compass
This is a WWII-era British military wrist compass (officially designated “Compass, Survival, Wrist Type,” Air Ministry Ref. No. 6B/2593), issued primarily to RAF aircrew (pilots and navigators) as part of escape and evasion/survival kits, but also widely used by British airborne forces, paratroopers, SAS, SOE, and commandos. Key Features •  Blackened metal case (brass or steel) with a hinged hunter-style lid containing a mirror (for signaling). •  Dry-card design (non-liquid/air-damped compass card – no fluid visible, with a floating card that settles more slowly than liquid-filled types). The central thumb screw rotates the bezel for sighting/bearings. •  Luminous markings (originally radium paint for night visibility). •  Long khaki herringbone twill webbing strap (designed to wear over flying suits, sleeves, thigh, or ankle). •  Back markings: REF No. 6B/2593 (or similar worn variant like N968/2593), SER No. in “B/” format (B often denoting manufacturer Francis Barker & Son). Close-up photo clearly shows the dry floating card (white/silver with black markings, no damping fluid or bubbles), distinguishing it from the more common liquid-filled variants of the same model. These were produced from the early 1940s through the post-war period (your serial/year code suggests 1950s–1960s production). Dry versions are authentic but less frequently encountered intact, as many liquid ones leaked over time. Can can ship anywhere, Please see my other ads for rare and collectable military items

Lee Enfield L39A1 British military target/match rifle
The Enfield L39A1 is a British military target/match rifle developed in the late 1960s by the Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) Enfield. It was essentially the open-sights counterpart to the L42A1 sniper rifle (which used a telescopic sight), both built on converted Lee-Enfield No. 4 actions rechambered and rebarreled for 7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester compatible). This rifles overall commission isn’t very good shape from the wood to the bore. You will not be disappointed in this precision shooting platform. Ready for your collection or the range.  Key Specifications •  Caliber: 7.62×51mm NATO (uses standard 10-round magazines, often Sterling-pattern or Enfield-specific). •  Action: Bolt-action, modified No. 4 receiver (machined for 7.62 magazine clearance, new bolt face/extractor, etc.). •  Barrel: Heavy, free-floating, 27.5 inches, hammer-forged for precision and heat resistance. •  Sights:  Fitted with adjustable aperture target sights the Parker-Hale PH5C (or PH5E4/PH4/47 variants) on the receiver— (PH·5C marking, vernier scale, knurled knobs). •  Stock: Shortened/widened fore-end, often with a standard No. 4 butt (some had high-comb target stocks in commercial versions). •  Weight/Length: Heavier than a standard No. 4 (~10–11 lbs), overall length around 44–45 inches. •  Accuracy: Excellent for its era—sub-MOA potential with good ammo (e.g., 168gr match loads). 1780’s Trading Ceremony At York Factory. Lithograph. $675
Located in NW Edmonton. Framed Lithograph, measures 16 1/2” wide x 19” high. Price $675. Trading Ceremony at York Factory, 1780's By ADAM SHERIFF SCOTT, R.C.A. The arrival of the main body of Indians in the early summer was one of the important events of the year at the posts along the shores of Hudson Bay. Andrew Graham, who was at York Factory for several years, has left us an eye-witness account of the elaborate ceremony that preceded the trading at York when the Indian canoe fleet arrived from the West. After they had landed at the fort and had been duly received by the governor (as the local officer in charge was known), the chief and his lieutenant were dressed up in European clothes and then escorted to the chief's lodge with much pageantry. "In front are the halberts and ensigns," writes Graham, "next to the drummer beating a march; then several of the Factory Servants bearing the bread, and prunes, pipes, brandy, tobacco, and the beaver coats of the chief, which he had on when admitted into the Factory. Then comes the Captain [chief] walking quite erect and stately, smoaking his pipe and conversing with the Governor and his officers; then follow the Lieutenant and perhaps a friend or two who was permitted to come in with the Chief." In the picture, the chief, attired in scarlet, with one red stocking and one blue, is seen walking with the governor in all his finery. The walls of the fort, rising above the palisade, are of squared logs covered with plaster. The red ensign bears the Company's coat-of-arms in the fly. Price $675. Can ship once paid. Description Small bore hunting match repeaters of the series 64: This model shares the action and design with the series 1416 and 1516, but with specific stock design and fitted with the acclaimed heavy target barrel. The basis of this model is the sturdy Match 64 barreled action, equipped with a target two-stage trigger with adjustable position and the universal Multi Purpose Beavertail stock. The Beavertail stock is widely different from the traditional European hunting stock. Created from the requirements of varmint hunters from the „New World“ this stock combines the advantages of classic target barrel with the wide and easy to handle Beavertail forend. An integrated accessory rail in the forend rounds the versatility of these models. A very field useable sport/target accuracy level variant with a constantly growing popularity. Barreled Action The action is used in the ANSCHÜTZ Luxus repeaters 1416/1417 and 1516/1517. This is a bolt action with cam cocking, claw extractor, additional cartridge holder and ejector. Telescopic sight mounting is by an 0.43" wide ANSCHÜTZ Wave Style V-block dovetail rail or by additional drilled and tapped holes. The sliding safety catch onthe right hand side blocks the trigger sear in the safe position and simultaneously lifts the trigger sear and bolt release latch. The bolt can also be opened in the safe position, allowing unloading the firearm with the safety engaged. Trigger ANSCHÜTZ target two-stage and single-stage triggers have always set the standard for quality, reliability, and precision. It is not without reason that ANSCHÜTZ triggers are known as the best in the world. Many manufacturers offer adapters for integration of this masterpiece of the German gunsmith‘s art into their firearms. The light weight, hardened and finely ground trigger components facilitate fast and consistent trigger release. Barrel • Cylindrical precision match barrel. • Manufactured using an ANSCHÜTZ special process. • Excellent shooting performance. • Recessed muzzle. • Reinforced muzzle with 11 mm wide prism rail for front sight. Sight set This model is delivered without sights. However, the system sleeve and the barrel end are equipped with an 11 mm wide prism rail for attaching a rear sight and front sight tunnel. Stock The lacquered multi-purpose beavertail stock has nothing in common with the classic European hunting stock. The wide, easy-to-use beaver tail fore-end with integrated aluminum profile rail can be quickly and easily added to other accessories such as Handstops can be fitted. The easy-to-grip hallmarking on the handle offers optimal hold even in damp weather. The buttstock with black rubber cap 4709 A is prepared for a clamping piece, which enables cap extensions to be attached. Therefore, this shaft is also ideal for hunting competition shooting. Butt Plate Straight, with guide plate 4709 A-U2/1 and set screws. • Non-slip rubber butt plate 4709A. • Prevents slipping of the butt plate in position. • Stepless hight adjustment.
