Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers (PCMR) fighting knife from World War II. The PCMR was a home guard/militia unit formed in early 1942 specifically to defend British Columbia’s west coast against a potential Japanese invasion after Pearl Harbor. They were part of Canada’s Reserve Army, composed mostly of older men, hunters, outdoorsmen, and locals familiar with the rugged terrain. They patrolled remote areas, watched for enemy activity, and were trained in guerrilla tactics, demolitions, and small arms. PCMR knives were often improvised or field-modified from available surplus parts due to equipment shortages for these volunteer units. A common (and well-documented) type was conversions of old Ross rifle bayonets (Canadian WWI-era .303 Ross bayonets, which were plentiful and obsolete by WWII). These were cut down, reshaped into a broad fighting/utility blade (clip point, single-edged with some curve), fitted with a simple wooden handle (often riveted or pinned), and given a metal guard/crossguard.   A broad, darkened carbon steel blade with patina/wear typical of field use or age. •  Wooden handle secured by pins/rivets. •  Metal bolster/guard with markings but this is likely misread or a coincidental stamp; PCMR examples sometimes have odd or repurposed markings from surplus parts. It is distinguished from the 96/11 rifle by a curved butt plate and by a stock with an integral semi-pistol grip. It uses a graduated tangent sight which begins at 300 meters. This started out as an LSA Sht LE MK111 showing 1907 as the year of manufacture -  I believe the first year the  MK111 was put into military service. It was then converted to a single shot 410 shot gun in 1934 at the Rifle factory Ishapore in India, where it was also restocked into a full Indian Rosewood wood set. This shotgun is matching bolt, receiver, barrel and wood although the nose cap is blank. All other parts look to be original to either it's 1907 manufacture or it's 1934 conversion.  it's in exceptional condition with only minor scratches and a few marks/chips out of the wood and one armory repair to the butt stock.  I have only fired this shotgun once in all the years i've owned it - it will fire modern 410 cartridges. This is a very nice collectors piece, at nearly 120 years old and 92 years since being converted to a shotgun, it's still one of the best original condition  Lee Enfield's I've ever seen ..... and I've bought and sold many.  The price is firm, I won't be disappointed if it doesn't sell.

Reloadable ammo is available but sold separately. Tested with smokeless powder. This is conversion to 45 ACP and British .455 Webley ammo. (available for sale online). but still can shoot original 11mm ammo. It is very interesting example of 1873 French Service Revolver that was converted to 45ACP / .455 Webley caliber which was readily available during WW2 and was considerably more powerful than original and hard to find 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition, all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The action is excellent and accurate and very smooth, the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The walnut grips are excellent and show no damage this one looks like new. SN J24391, this one is made in 1885, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

Here is a bolt and receiver matching 1950  long branch precision shooting target rifle. These rifles are very collectable in the shooting community and  chambered in 7.62. Only a couple thousand of  made and are regarded as incredibly accurate rifles.   Please see picture for details on condition but overall, I would rate this as high condition or very good condition stock as well as bore.  Collectors estimate around 1,500–2,000 authentic CAL/DCRA conversions were done (some sources cite ~1,300–1,982 based on observed numbers and databases compiling photos/serial tracking). These are scarce today, especially pristine examples. Long Branch receivers (like this 1950 one) are preferred for conversions due to better tolerances/magazine fit, but British receivers (e.g., BSA, Fazakerley) were also used (sometimes requiring extra milling). This rifle’s setup (target sights, display with Canadian volunteer theme) aligns with a classic DCRA target configuration— converted 7.62 example used in DCRA events. The arrival of the main body of Indians in the early summer was one of the important events of the year at the posts along the shores of Hudson Bay. Andrew Graham, who was at York Factory for several years, has left us an eye-witness account of the elaborate ceremony that preceded the trading at York when the Indian canoe fleet arrived from the West. After they had landed at the fort and had been duly received by the governor (as the local officer in charge was known), the chief and his lieutenant were dressed up in European clothes and then escorted to the chief's lodge with much pageantry. "In front are the halberts and ensigns," writes Graham, "next to the drummer beating a march; then several of the Factory Servants bearing the bread, and prunes, pipes, brandy, tobacco, and the beaver coats of the chief, which he had on when admitted into the Factory. Then comes the Captain [chief] walking quite erect and stately, smoaking his pipe and conversing with the Governor and his officers; then follow the Lieutenant and perhaps a friend or two who was permitted to come in with the Chief." In the picture, the chief, attired in scarlet, with one red stocking and one blue, is seen walking with the governor in all his finery.
