No rust. Nice aged patina on the receiver/lever. Blued finish is good on the barrel and magazine tube. TD has no play. Wood has been lightly sanded and refinished. Action is smooth and trigger is consistent at 3lb's pull with excellent 1/2 cock. Bore is shiny (can send pics). Gun shoots amazingly for it 1926 production date.  I haven't seen 1 for sale in Canada in this good of condition.  Serious inquiries only. Shipping with insurance must be covered by the buyer. NOT for SALE - LILJA Warranty reference only. MAY 7, 2024 - Fifth anniversary. News Update; By acquiring a quality bore scope, I was able to see the problem with barrel. The rifling lands in front of the chamber had separated from barrel for about 1.25" and 1 land was protruding into bore. Cut off 2" of barrel chamber end. Machined new barrel end to fit receiver tighter by .002" and rechambered for 22 short only. At range gun shot 1/4" - 5 shot group at 50 yds. shooting CCI 22 short - 27 gr. HP. Seems the rifling is not shot out but can not understand rifling land separation. UNIQUE -- NO WARRANTY or REFUND from LILJA. Call phone or e-mail only. No messages. Aug. 27/24: Over the past 3 years I just added 3817 rds. of CCI 22 shorts to round count. Still shooting 1/4" groups at 50 yds.

Up for sale is my Savage 116 Weather Warrior in 30-06. This is the rare and unique "bear hunter" model, which comes with a factory standard adjustable muzzle brake, hinged floorplate magazine, as well as Savage's AccuTrigger and AccuStock. This gun has been my primary hunting rifle for about 10 years now, and has taken multiple whitetails, mule deer, and a moose with one and done shots. Has grouped very well with 165gr Speer boat tails, and 150gr Barnes TSXs. The adjustable muzzle brake greatly reduces recoil and makes sighting in a breeze. Would be great for someone who wants the knockdown power of an 06 with reduced recoil. Shows a few bumps and bruises from being a well loved hunting rifle- primarily in the case of the recoil pad that had started to wear down a bit at the toe. Selling only as I am inherting my Dad's Ruger m77 in the same calibre, and have no need for two 06s. Asking 800 obo for the rifle and DNZ GameReaper scope mount.
