Activity Coordinator
The Lac Ste. Anne Foundation is presently seeking an individual to fill a position located in our lodge in Onoway.
Activity Coordinator – Permanent Full Time
Chateau Lac Ste. Anne – Onoway
Directly reporting to the Site Manager, the Activity Coordinator is accountable for: Administrative Support, Resident Relations, Program Planning, Program Implementation, and Volunteer Management. This position entails a high level of interaction with seniors and requires some physical endurance (e.g. manoeuvring wheelchairs). Offsite day trips are occasionally scheduled.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
· Ensure department personnel fulfill positional areas of accountability
· Ensure organizational standards are adhered to
· Ensure safe work practices and procedures are adhered to
· Assist Site Manager in resident orientation process
· Communicate available programs and upcoming events
· Provide information pertaining to social and leisure opportunities offered within the community
· Encourage and support resident social clubs/associations
· Determine life enrichment activities and events that meet resident mental, physical, social and spiritual needs
· Develop activity calendar and work schedule
· Evaluate activities and events
· Lead activities as required
· Monitor and document activity and event participation
· Recruit and retain volunteers to support resident activities
· Organize daily tasks
· Purchase supplies within budget guidelines
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Proven success in the following job competencies:
· High School Diploma
· Activity Coordinator Certificate (Red Deer College) is preferred
· Previous work experience with seniors
· Previous experience with volunteer groups
· Level 4 Criminal Record Check

Housekeeper / Household Manager NeededA busy business owner family, is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Housekeeper/Household Manager to maintain and oversee the operations of their home. The family spends weekends, summers, and holiday breaks (such as Christmas) at the residence, but are not in the home approximately 75% of the time. This role requires someone who is experienced, self-sufficient, and able to keep the home in excellent condition year-round.
Responsibilities:
Full housekeeping: deep and daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, and maintaining household organization.
Act as the point of contact for household operations, ensuring the home is well-maintained and secure when the family is not in residence.
Proactively identify issues (e.g., repairs, damages) and communicate directly with the principal regarding updates.
Coordinate and oversee vendors/contractors, ensuring work is completed correctly and relaying detailed updates to the family.
Run errands as needed, including grocery shopping, post office, and household supply restocking.
Prepare the home for family visits (summer, weekends, holidays).
Comfortable around and able to help care for a small dog.
Schedule & Time Off:
Please note that this is a part-time job required you to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pay: $25 per hour.
Compensation: $25 per hour
The family spends extended time in the home during June–August and around Christmas holidays.
Candidate must align vacation time around the family’s usage of the home.
Time off is available at all other times of the year (outside of family visits).
No requirement to work on Christmas, New Year’s, or similar major holidays, but will be needed on the days directly surrounding holidays as that is when the family is most likely to visit.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a housekeeper, household manager, or similar role in a private home.
Highly responsible, trustworthy, and proactive in managing household operations independently.
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, detailed updates.
Comfortable working with contractors and vendors.
Detail-oriented with excellent housekeeping and laundry skills (including ironing).
Pet- and child-friendly, with a flexible and helpful attitude.
