(available for sale online). but still can shoot original 11mm ammo. It is very interesting example of 1873 French Service Revolver that was converted to 45ACP / .455 Webley caliber which was readily available during WW2 and was considerably more powerful than original and hard to find 11mm ammo. This one is in excellent original condition, all the markings are sharp and complete. The serial numbers are repeated on all components: the barrel, cylinder, frame, grips, internal mechanism parts and even the screw heads and escutcheons. Everything matches. The bore of the 4 1/2 inch barrel is as perfect and it is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. The action is excellent and accurate and very smooth, the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The walnut grips are excellent and show no damage this one looks like new. SN J24391, this one is made in 1885, rated excellent overall. MAS Mle 1873 French Service Revolver, 11mm French Ordnance The Mle 1873 was France's first double action cartridge revolver. After the disastrous loss to Prussia in the war of 1870, the French military closely examined its armaments and small arms, and they came to the conclusion that a new, more rugged and powerful side arm for their infantry was required. The result was the Mle 1873, designed by the famous partners of Chamelot & Delvigne, whose genius ideas would dominate much of the European military (and commercial) small arms market for decades to come. Many European countries adopted their designs, including Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Russia and Belgium. Only the Brits and Germans would continue to develop their own side arms.

Selling/trading a French MAS Model 1873 revolver in 11mm French Ordinance. Overall it's in very nice shape. No PAL required, just proof of age. Looks to be an 1873/1874 frame and reworked in 1892. All numbers appear to be matching, one small piece of hardware is difficult to tell. Steel is all in beautiful shape in a nice bright patina, no real corrosion or pitting to note. Indexes very well in both single and double action. Grips are also very nice with only light wear to mention. Bore has nice life left in it, chambers are all nice as well. Mas 45 Israeli Mas 45 (very scarce model) cal 22lr Excellent bore, good stock 1x mag(5 round) PAL and the second ID required (Subject to obtaining a valid reference number from CFP (need your PAL #, DOB, second ID, and email address to validate) No trade/No return Mas 45: In June 1945, French troops took control of the Mauser factory in Obendorf, requesting the production of a .22 LR training carbine with a magazine. The Mauser engineers, utilizing existing parts in stock, developed prototypes in October 1945. These prototypes incorporated a combination of the single-shot Mauser KKW mechanism and the magazine/magazine well of the Mauser Model 37 (also known as Mm 510). Between December 1945 and the end of June 1946, approximately 10,000 to 15,000 "Mauser 45" units were manufactured. While some were crafted from existing KKW components (with the distinctive Mauser 45 stock), the majority were newly produced. Under Soviet pressure, the French were compelled to dismantle the factory in Oberndorf, relocating parts to St-Etienne. The production of Mauser/MAS, utilizing German parts in France, likely commenced towards the conclusion of 1947. These bear serial numbers prefixed with an “F” up until the end of production, with an estimated 3,000 units produced. Post-serial number F 3000/F 3100, carbines were entirely fashioned from French components, and the Mauser marking ceased. By the end of production in 1965 or slightly later, serial numbers had advanced to F 33000. In the early 1950s, A limited quantity of Mas 45 units was dispatched to Israel in response to the Israeli military's request for troop training purposes.

Selling as i have less time to shoot rifles and this one deserves to go to someone who will shoot it. I know there is varying reviews on these conversions. My understanding is most (possibly all) were done by century arms and some cycled and some did not. Do your own research please. This one has cycled 125rds of the lake city ammo for me and I don't recall any failures. Both mags did work. Can't guarantee any other ammo as I only tried the one. At the time I acquired this rifle the original scopes were either unavailable or very expensive. I found the vomz played the part. The front is attached with an original ring and a bushing. The back I had to make a scope ring to clamp the back in place. It's machined aluminum painted black. There is just enough room to slide the scope on and off its rail without having to remove the scope from the mount. Open for SKS Trade. One of the few Century Arms that was correctly converted into 308 Win - This one has new barrel AND has the correct hook of forend to reciever. Close to the ultimate bush gun. Rubber recoil slip on as this is LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT although original steel butt plate is there. Blueing on receiver is great - this was in good condition before conversion to 308 I do not think I have ever seen one of these in Canada. I do have surplus 308 7.62 ammo but at 78 yrs old I never got this out to the range. More powerful than the small 30-30 and about the same size if not even smaller. Bit late for this fall hunt but could be a riot at the range. Unmodified 36s are now over $1,000 but this one is actually useful. Prefer pickup in Waterloo but will ship.

The Modèle 1892 revolver is a solid frame revolver with the cylinder on a separate frame swinging right for manual reloading. The Modèle 1892 was first fielded in 1893 and was prominent among French military officers during First World War, and later the French police until the mid-1960s.

These revolvers were very popular private purchases among sportsmen and higher ranking officers around the turn of the 20th century up through WW1 as reliable, accurate, and elegant handguns. With an impressive 6" barrel and mirror-bore rifling, this is a collector's or target shooter's dream.
