*Price reduction fro a quick sale* This is a High Condition 1944 BSA selected to be upgraded into a "T" pattern sniper rifle with correct "TR" marking on the left side of receiver ring. These sniper rifles were based on hand selected No. 4 rifles and saw service with Commonwealth forces during WWII and into the 1960s. In addition to the rifle's standard protected blade front sight and ladder rear, Scope is a No. 32 Mk. II OS. 1650A & mounted on a quick detach base. Scope is dated 1944 and numbered "15803"which is matched to the rifle with the same number force matched on the wrist(see photo). Cast scope base is a high quality reproduction(Roger Payne replica) and was Matched 3522 to same as on the bolt and rifle. Walnut stock with cheek piece, "S51" also stamped behind the grip indicating the rifle is a wartime conversion by famed gunmaker Holland & Holland. CONDITION: Very Good. Metal retains the vast majority of its arsenal applied finishes with some fading. Stocks show small nicks and impressions throughout as is to be expected on military issue arms. Good, strong grooves and bright bore. Scope is original and is still very clear for it age. Also included as an original green metal scope case for securing the scope. However, the numbers on this case are not matching the scope.. Barrel Length: 25 - 1/2" Caliber/Bore: .303 BSA Model: No. 4 MK 1* (T) Serial Number: D3522. Also comes with a Chest S.A. Light to moderate wear on wood, it is over 100 years old, crest is in very good sharp condition. Barrel, receiver, and bolt has not been reblued floor plate, and trigger assembly looks like it has been reblued. stock has not been sanded. Howdy Townpost. This is a fine English pocket or coat pistol made by Hollis and Sheath company which is the precursor to Hollis and Sons or Isaac Hollis and Sons. Wallace and sheath became Hollis and Sons in 1861 when Isaac Brentnall Sheath left the company to immigrate to Canterbury, Australia and raised sheep and owned coal mines in an area that is now a suburb of Melbourne. His gun making days were behind him, he'd become an industrialist down undah. Sheath & Hollis co-founded the company in 1849 and Sheath stayed with the company until as previously stated, 1861. That dates this firearm between 1849 and 1861. This is a single shot side hammer lock percussion pistol. It's a screw-barrel meaning you unthread the barrel, fill the powder chamber and place a ball on top it. You then use the barrel itself and the threads to seat the ball inside of the breach. Then a percussion cap on the nipple, put it at half cock put it in your dapper overcoat and pull it out should you meet any Scallywags on your travels. The gun is mechanically excellent. The bore condition is very good, there is some minor shallow pitting but overall the rifling is very sharp and clean and shiny. The overall exterior condition of the metal and wood is in excellent shape the diamond checkering are sharp and defined. The powder chamber has only minor pitting as pictured and was cleaned out internally. For a defensive coat pistol, the sights are excellent and easy to pick up and with a rifled bore in good condition I expect this pistol could be fired very accurately. To shoot this gun I would use 3F powder. Both number 10 and 11 caps fit the nipple reasonably well. A 40 caliber lead ball would be ideal as a projectile but you could definitely use .375 caliber balls with a patch no problem in my opinion. I haven't tried it myself though. The pistol is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide too.

Sporterized wooden Monte Carlo stock with aluminum butt plate. Fitted with sling mounts. Marked NOT ENGLISH MAKE, logo with crown and BM on left side of receiver. Other markings include .30/06 NITRO PROOF etc. on barrel, BM logo on bolt but no serial number seen. Parts gun as receiver has a crack by the nitro proof marks. Bluing worn in use and handling areas. Two drilled and tapped holes on right side of receiver with corresponding notch removed on stock, presumably from once attached rear peep sight. Handling and storage marks on wood and metal. CFP/RCMP courtesy of Bill C-71 require any firearm to have a transfer registration number approved by the CFT to sell, give or transfer as of MAY 18, 2022. Seller needs the full name and PAL of the buyer with DOB and email as on file with the CFP. Seller then submits information on the RCMP CFP Individual Web Services which confirms the buyers PAL as valid or not with a Reference Number. Failure to do so is subject to Sections 99 & 101 of the Criminal code

WAS $1200 Now $1000 According to the serial number 161XXX, it puts the date of manufacturing to 1902, crescent butt plate, semi-buckhorn rear sight, all original except rear sight elevator is a replacement. Round 26" barrel, dark bore, good rifling, approx. 20% plum finish remains with lacquering on some of the metal. Dark walnut forend & stock (original) with the stock having a small piece missing from the left side and about a 1.25" old crack on the wood right side both near the bottom of the tang/guard (pictures are attached) but stock is still mounted solid to the tang. Action is still quite tight for it's age and old sling swivels had been added to the rifle at some point in it's younger years. Must have valid PAL to purchase and will be verified. EMT (shipped) or cash(pickup) - Shipping and/or insurance available at buyers expense thru Canada Post or a courier. Rear stock can be removed for transport. No trades or offers
