Howdy Townpost. I am selling this Remington 3.5inch Super-Mag that I picked up from BassPro in Calgary. I never got around to shooting it but I got a deal on it so I'm willing to let it go for cheaper than usual. This was a store demo gun, which essentially means it was dry cyled and shown to customers a few times. It's more or less a brand new shotgun. There's hardly any wear on it with the exception of some cosmetic blemishes from some small patches of surface rust that formed on the parkerized receiver. I suspect they never oiled it and peoples hands or just some moisture caused it. I cleaned it off and oiled the whole gun. It's pretty smooth even though it's a new gun and hasn't been broken in. The rubber recoil pad is still nice and soft The date code looks like AJ so it's a 2015 production. It was kicking around BassPro for almost 11 years! These regularly retail for $750+tax but occasionally go on sale for $650+tax. So I think $630 with no tax is not a bad deal for an essentially brand new shotgun. The shotgun is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. It's pretty short when broken down, and is light so it should be relatively inexpensive to ship. If you live in Alberta I do get around the province a fair bit throughout the year, so if I happen to be heading to your area maybe we can do a meet up along the way on my travels to save you the shipping costs. Remington-Smoot New Model No. 4, .38 Rim Fire Pocket Revolver. The design of the "New Model" Line of Remington revolvers is based on a patent issued to William S. Smoot in 1873. The four types, No. 1 through 4, are all similar in their use of a two-part frame which is joined just above the grip. This one is the No. 4, which resembles the popular "Bulldogs" of the day. It is in excellent condition with original nickel . The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly with no play. The bore of the 2 1/2 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp rifling. The black hard-rubber grips are very fine and undamaged. SN 21108, excellent overall.​​ History & Background Like Colt, Remington had to get into the cartridge pocket revolver market by sheer public pressure. They, too, like Colt, experienced difficulties trying to compete with the cheap "suicide specials" which were available at that same time. Although sales were brisk at first, and the guns enjoyed great popularity due to their excellent quality, in the long run the public opted for cheap over quality, and by the mid 1880's production of the smaller models was halted. The Smoot patent refers to the spring-loaded cylinder pin / extractor found on the New Model No. 1, 2 and 3. Remington was well known to acquire the patents of other designers and incorporating them into their own line of products, and into the name of the models. Inventors such as Beals, Elliot, Rider and Smoot all contributed to the success of Remington handguns.

The nitre blue on the trigger, hammer and screw heads is well visible. The action is smooth and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 4.5 inch barrel is fine and bright, with sharp rifling. The markings are sharp and defined throughout. The assembly numbers match on the cylinder, crane, barrel and frame. Sharps & Hankins "No. 3 C" Four-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Caliber Rim Fire , SCARCE This one is a Sharps & Hankins four-barrel pepperbox classified as a "Model 3C". It is characterized by the button-type barrel release and ejector mounted between the barrels. It is chambered for the .32 rim fire cartridge. The gun is in excellent condition, with original blue intact and the case colors on the frame. The markings are sharp and clear. This is a unique variant with a floating, internal firing pin which rotates a quarter turn with each cocking of the hammer and these are rarely encountered. The 4 bores are good with strong rifling all the way. The black gutta percha grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5822, excellent overall. Christian Sharps (1811-1874) was one of the best-known firearms designers and manufacturers of the 19th century. Although he never achieved the volumes of Colt, S&W and Remington, Christian Sharps was a major supplier of long arms to the Union during the civil war. His carbines are iconic among civil war collectors. Sharps sporting rifles were extremely popular at the time, and still fetch premium prices to this day. Christian Sharps had a rocky and sometimes acrimonious relationship with his managers and partners, and would leave the Hartford firm in 1853, returning to Philadelphia. There, he formed a new company in 1854, called C. Sharps & Co. He manufactured pepperboxes and single-shot pistols, while the Sharps Rifle Co. continued with long arms. In 1862, Christian Sharps formed "Sharps & Hankins", in partnership with William Hankins, who had sold his own plant to William Uhlinger. Sharps & Hankins would continue until 1866, producing their four-barrel pepperboxes, single shot pistols, and military grade long arms in competition with his former company in Hartford. Soon after the war, the partnership was dissolved, and Sharps would go back to his previous name of C. Sharps & Co. He continued to manufacture the four-barrel pepperboxes until 1874, when the firm was dissolved after his death.

Howdy Townpost! I've got a nice little uncommon and good condition subcompact Remington for sale now! This started its life as a Remington Model 1865 New Model Police as a cap and ball percussion revolver in .36 caliber. Many of these were never percussion guns as they existed in a weird transition period. And Remington made some of them from the ground up as cartridge guns. This one most likely was in inventory as a percussion revolver and was turned into a .38 rimfire cartridge revolver based on the serial number, in my opinion. These are one of the more rare and lesser known Remington cap and ball guns that were made. Remington only made 18,000 between 1865 and 1873. So they are relatively uncommon and scarce gun today. This is actually my personal favorite model of Remington percussion revolver they're a very handy subcompact-sized gun by today's standards they're bigger and much more comfortable in the hand in the grip than the pocket models but nice and light unlike the full size military .44s and they point very naturally. This particular example is in very good condition the nickel is a very high percentage of coverage some of the original silver plate is still visible on the trigger guard and some of the low areas. The color case hardening is still very colorful and defined on the hammer (pictured). The grips have been refinished but they are the originals. The wood grain is very interesting and beautiful in my opinion. The bore is in excellent condition especially for a Civil War era black powder firearm. This was likely carried in a police officer's holster and not fired much. It was well taken care of and the clean and good condition bore and chambres are reflection of that. The the mechanical function of this firearm is excellent as well. When I got the firearm it was actually in amazing condition to begin with and the mechanical function was perfect. It locks up and times perfectly. The hammer and the trigger pull are very crisp, light and smooth. And didn't require any adjustment, Remington did the job and they did it right the first time. The entire revolver has been taken apart and given a gunsmith's cleaning and was reassembled and lightly oiled. I came across a nice little Hunter leather holster at a gun show and found that it fit this gun very well so it's included as a freebie with the gun (pictured). For sale is a Custom built 6.5 creedmoor rifle, the rifle was built by Jerry at High Pro Precision. It's built off a Remington 700 AAC-SD action, 26 inch semi heavy barrel chambered by High Pro Precision, has a Cadex Strike Nuke chassis, Cadex trigger, MDT 5 rd metal magazine, and a MDT 20 MOA rail. Also has the action and barrel cerakoted sniper grey. The gun shoots 143gr eldx bullets very well, shoots pretty much anything you'll throw at it, it's a dream to shoot. Approximately 150 rounds through the rifle. Gun is in very good condition, some minor scuffs on the barrel from hunting. Scope not included. Swept bolt marked on top of handle "B2" and marking underneath appears as "F." Safety lug is Remington style, as is the bolt shroud. All stamped furniture, including large bow triggerguard and fine checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set with two recoil bolts. The grip is marked underneath with encircled "P" proof. Assembly marks are visible ahead of the trigger guard. CONDITION: stock set has a and bruises in its appearance commensurate with extensive service. There are numerous handling marks. The metal retains its original finish with some thinning and wear. Very good, shiny 4-groove bore. also comes with a leather combat sling.
