These are incredibly rare, it's in fantastic shape, shiny bore, and an original sling not a repro the bayonet lug is unmarked though and all the history is as such.  1941 duv K98k was likely captured or surrendered after WWII.Instead of being destroyed or exported immediately, it was: Inspected Possibly re-barreled or cleaned up Reissued to DDR police or military The W in starburst/shield marks it as part of the DDR’s official arms inventory.  these are incredibly uncommon, and east german stuff is highly collectable i can ship but I highly suggest getting insurance. I partially assembled this and sat in the garage for a long time its a Gen 2 but I won't use it. its black in color and in good condition and its folding so it will make it easier to transport i live in the Edmonton area so if you do as well we can meet face to face but i can ship it if you cover it, its very light but in the original box kind of bulky.
