This Daiwa 15th anniv. reel has been very lightly used, with some minor scratching on the back plate. These reels were entirely hand made by Daiwa craftsmen for this event. It is a combination fly/mooching reel made in Seiko Japan by Daiwa in the 1980's for Daiwa Canada's 15th anniversary. It is constructed of aluminum alloy and gold anodized with some stainless and titanium nitrated parts. It came with a lifetime guarantee. The original contract was for 800 reels but only 500 were made, I have the letter to prove that. I will inlcude a copy. This auto pilot is complete with the gimbaled compass although the original glass has been replaced but without the whiskers which could be made from a drawing or photo, also it has the remote (dodger) control. The large sprocket is to be attached to the helm shaft. Has original wiring and connectors. The motor is 12 vdc and works fine switches and clutch are ok as well. There is a provision for what appears to be a rudder position indicator on the back of the gearbox. This is a great old unit, deserves to be used or archived. As a package it would weigh aprox. 30kg (or less) about the limit for CP which would cost about $100.00 to ship by mail in B.C. any where else I would need a postal code.
