Howdy Townpost. I'm selling some of my tin hoard. All of these ingots were cast from pewter mugs, plates, cups, candleholders etc. I included a few pictures of examples I melted into ingots. I'm currently asking $30/lb. The ingots are in Calgary, AB for local sales or shipped anywhere nationwide on buyer's dime (I can do flat rate $20 for up to 11lbs).

Allen Endura Foam Padded Rifle Slings w/better hardware, Buy 3 get 1 free.

Howdy Townpost. I've got a number of these brand new Allen slings for sale. The slings I have here are an improvement over the regular Allen Endura. This batch of slings has cam buckles (sometimes called toggle clips) instead of tri-glides. They're easier to use and make attaching the webbing loops to sling swivels really quick and easy. The sling loop sections are longer and could even be used as a carry strap for small logs or something heavy in a pinch. The slings can be adjusted from 28" to 52" so they're quite versatile. The slings are $5 each. I'm currently offering a buy 3 get 1 free deal. The slings are located in SW Calgary and can be picked up almost anytime. I am also happy to ship nationwide, this is of course at the buyer's expense. Shipping these as regular or expedited parcels should be fairly cheap since I can roll up the sling into a little roll and put it into a very small box or mailer. I may be able to ship this as an oversized lettermail if I fold one or two slings flat and get them into a large envelope too. So I expect shipping to be $5-19 depending on what option you go with, where the is the package destination and how many slings you want.

John Forbes of Liverpool Sawhandle Smoothbore Adjustable Trigger .62 Calibre Percussion Conversion Fine Antique Dueling Pistol

Howdy Townpost! I have a truly amazing one of a kind piece here for sale. I bought this for myself in the US over a year ago and I had it professionally restored and fully repaired. I am now looking to sell it. John Forbes, of Liverpool, was gunmaker to His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, later King George IV. And according to my research made mostly dueling and target pistols, and some small pocket pistols for only 5 years. Those years being 1805-1810. He spelt his name with I or Iohn and later switched the spelling to a J or John based on public records and some of the other examples of his dueling pistols that have sold at auction. That makes this a very rare and finely made pistol. This pistol would have cost a small fortune at the time it was made. Oftentimes dueling pistols come in pairs but it was cheaper to buy just one if they were offered as a single, and should you encounter someone who has insulted your honor and you demand satisfaction from them, they can bring their own pistol to the duel. The engraving is extremely fine, intricate and skilled. It would have taken many dozens of hours to complete and it was all done by hand. The engraving features drums, banners and spears, floral patterns, sunbursts on the base plate and lock, and a pineapple in the front of the trigger guard, which symbolizes wealth and status. Because this gun is a percussion conversion of the original flintlock mechanism the percussion hammer is engraved in a different style by a different engraver in a more simple floral and fish mouth style of engraving with gold inlay. Every screw is engraved to look like a flower and the escutcheons are also each engraved like a wreath. Overall there is a lot of fine detail with some simpler and less detailed later additions on the percussion mechanism and one spot on the side plate. The gun features gold inlay on the hammer which largely worn away. There is silver inlay on the outside of the breach, and a sterling silver wreath styled band wrapped around the base of the grip and a sliver bead front sight. The ramrod tip (which is a replacement) is silver plated brass, so too are the front stock cap near the muzzle, the rod pipe, cross key, and escutcheon around it are too. The grip baseplate is silver plated steel. The workmanship of this pistol is certainly of a quality of gunmaker worthy enough of being the gun maker of the Prince of Wales. The pistol is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it too.

SMITH & WESSON VINTAGE FACTORY ORIGINAL .22 CALIBER CLEANING KIT CIRCA 1964-88

Howdy Townpost this is an original new in package Smith& Wesson 22 caliber cleaning rod brushes and screwdriver. The style of screwdriver indicates it was a paired with a Smith between 1964 and 1988 when they changed the style of screwdriver. Located in Calgary for pickup or I can ship it Nationwide on buyer's dime. This is thin enough. I can actually mail it as letter mail for three bucks. Or a little more for a tract package in a small box.

Rare Amberg Bavarian Mauser 71/84

Howdy Townpost. I have an old German gal who's been around the block a few times and I'm looking to get rid of her.  This is a German Mauser model. 1871/ 84 tube magazine fed repeater. In .43 Mauser or 10 mm Mauser. This gun comes with what looks to be an original leather sling that's surprisingly in decent shape. It's starting to crack a little bit, but I bet if you put some mink oil or leather conditioner on it, you could probably get it to soften up.  The rifle has a broken rear sight leaf spring so it's floppy. It is missing the magazine cut off lever. And the front barrel band retaining wedge is also missing.  Overall the rifle is in Fair to good condition. The wood has a lot of discoloration, dents and dings but overall is actually not too bad. The stock cartouches are still visible and and is overall and not too bad of shape. There are a couple of minor cracks at the butt of the stock. The bore is actually very good. There is some very minor pitting in a couple of spots, but overall is quite shiny and has pretty pronounced strong rifling.  The gun is a numbers matching gun and is a unit marked on the butt plate as pictured. This was made in a 1885 or 1886. It has both dates stamped on it for some reason.  The rifle is located in Calgary AB for pickup or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. Free delivery in Alberta may also be possible. I travel around a fair bit so message me to see if it's an option. PAL will be verified as per C-71

Photo of Swiss M1863 Millbank-Amsler & Vetterli Socket Bayonet
Swiss M1863 Millbank-Amsler & Vetterli Socket Bayonet

Howdy Townpost, this is a model 1863 Swiss socket bayonet. These were originally designed for the mill Bank amsler breech block conversion rifled muskets and were also the pattern used on the later model. 1869 Vetterli's. These are nearly identical to the model 1871 pattern however, they are a little bit thicker in construction.  Overall, the bayonet is in fair to good condition. There is some minor pitting and of patina of mild surface rust and grime over the surface of the bayonet. A little TLC with some steel wool and oil would have this thing looking like a million bucks. I simply don't have the time to do it myself.  This bayonet should be compatible on any Swiss Vetterli erly with some exceptions. It should fit on model 69, 69/71, 78 and 81. And possibly some of the carbines depending on what it is. However, many of these were hand fitted to an individual gun, so it may be a little bit loose or a little bit tight on your particular rifle and some fitting may be required. The socket bayonet is located in Southwest Calgary for pickup, or I'm more than happy to ship it to you Nationwide on your dime. And if you live in Alberta, I travel around the province of fair bit so I may be able to deliver for free if you're along the way on my travels.
