Hey Guys Just putting it out there to be extra cautious buying and selling on here. I was just scammed out of 580 bucks! I've been buying and selling on town post for years and this was the first one to get me. They Sent me pictures of a Pal and a drivers license and a win card. All lined up with the email and town post account that they had. The person had knowledge of the firearm they had for sale and everything. After i sent the e transfer they immediately stopped replying to texts and answering phone calls. After a day of trying to get ahold of them i used a different phone number and reached out inquiring about the gun they had for sale. Was told the gun was still available and that they would ship but would need to hurry and pay as they had lots of interest. Proving i clearly got scammed. Suggestions going forward do you best to set up face to face meetings. And if that's not possible Maybe face time or video call so you can see at least they have the gun and a pal at the not just stolen photos off the internet. If something is a smidge fishy walk away. I actually was willing to drive 3 hours to pick it up but was told he was leaving for work they next day and would have to ship it Red flag i thought was weird but did not trust my first instinct on.
