Offered for the K98 enthusiast or bayonet collector is an original WW2 police issue bayonet and scabbard. The blade has the makers mark Alcoso ( Alexander Coppel) Please note police bayonets were not numbered and scabbards were unmarked. Condition is excellent overall. Reddish color bakelite grips. No pitting or rust, blade has not been sharpened and the are no nicks to the blade edge. 2 small dings on the scabbard. Blue finish 98%. Offered for the bayonet collector and the German WW2 enthusiast is an excellent plus DOT 43 bayonet. These were manufactured by Waffenfabrik Brunn for about 2 years during WW2. A German modification of the Czech VZ 24. Used on the G24T 8mm rifle and also the G33/40 mountain carbine. Has an unsharpened reverse cutting edge. No nicks on the blade. Walnut grips. Correct WaA proof and 43 date on the spine. Numbered on the ricasso. Scabbard is not numbered and has the DOT43 stamp and WaA proof. Near perfect blue. These bayonets are scarce. A great addition to a German WW2 bayonet collection. Thanks for looking.
