1915 BSA Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk III – WWI British Service Rifle (.303 British) * sporterized (price reduced)

111 year old antique, authentic 1915-dated Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk III (SMLE) manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA Co.). This early World War I production rifle is chambered in .303 British and features the classic 10-round magazine and smooth bolt-action the SMLE is known for. The SMLE served as the standard rifle of British and Commonwealth forces during WWI, prized for its reliability, rapid fire capability, and rugged construction in trench warfare. Marked “B.S.A. Co. 1915”, this rifle represents a genuine piece of Great War history. A desirable early-war example and an excellent addition for military collectors, historians, or vintage firearms enthusiasts. Own a true WWI battlefield rifle from 1915. * sporterized - modifying a military-surplus firearm into a lighter, more compact version suitable for civilian use, such as hunting or target shooting. It typically involves shortening the barrel, removing wood from the stock, removing military-specific features which lessens its value. (Price Reduced)

WWII British bolt-action service rifle with a 10-round magazine, 25” barrel. Known for its smooth, fast bolt action and battlefield reliability. By 1944, the No.4 rifle had fully replaced the earlier SMLE No.1 Mk III as the standard British infantry rifle. Manufactured in 1944 at Royal Ordnance Factory Maltby (England), confirmed by the “M” factory mark and 1944 date on the butt socket. The serial number 10454 follows the Maltby numbering pattern, and the smaller stamps are original military inspection/proof marks. Historical Note: Maltby rifles from 1944 represent the standard British infantry rifle used in the later stages of WWII. Many show typical wartime finishes due to high-volume production demands. It was renowned for its exceptionally fast bolt action, enabling well-trained soldiers to perform the "Mad Minute"—firing up to 30 aimed shots in 60 seconds. * sporterized - modifying a military-surplus firearm into a lighter, more compact version suitable for civilian use, such as hunting or target shooting. It typically involves shortening the barrel, removing wood from the stock, removing military-specific features which lessens its value. (Price Reduced)
