Service Grade WW II era M1 Garand – Winchester. The receiver for this rifle was made in approximately May 1942. This is NOT a reclaimed receiver; it is an original receiver. This is a Service Grade rifle with many nice parts including a WW2 Winchester Barrel. The CMP is running out of rifles with original receivers and this is a World War 2 receiver that could have seen action in World War 2 and Korean War. This rifle has a nice mix of World War 2 and Korean War era parts. This Garand comes with an en-bloc clip.  (Note: this is one has an un-modified Receiver NOT one of the reclaimed receivers currently available) Parts include:  This is a Winchester receiver produced in May 1942 and is in overall good condition. It appears to have gone through the Anniston Army Depot rebuild in July 1966.  WW2 era barrel Winchester Barrel.  The hang tag shows a Muzzle Wear reading of 2+ and Throat Erosion of 2+. With my gauges I get MW just under 3 and a TE right at 2. Original WW2 Winchester barrels with descent wear numbers are getting extremely hard to find.   A nice-looking Springfield SA-9 Op Rod produced during WW2 (used from December 1943 to June 1945) Nice Springfield Korean War era Trigger Housing with a Springfield Korean War era Hammer. This may be an all-correct Korean War Trigger group. Nice HRA Korean War era Bolt A new CMP Walnut Stock   This is a very nice CMP Service Grade rifle that is getting very hard to get. If you are looking for a Winchester M1 Garand with a Winchester barrel and many nice parts, this would be a good option.
