I have an excellent condition antique French percussion pistol from the time of King Louis-Phillippe circa 1830s for sale. This firearm requires no license to own or shoot due to its age. I bought this gun from a Quebec antique arms dealer a few months ago and unfortunately need to move it on due to house renovations. This gun had its lock repaired by Bernard Riendeau, a Quebec master gunsmith specialising in antique arms. It is fully functional. This gun is in excellent condition, excellent bore, all engraving and wood intact. There are some small dents here and there on the stock, and minor wood loss around the front stock pin. There is some pitting around the nipple area as seen in pics. This gun had been test fired by Bernard, but I haven't had time to try it. Because the lock was rebuilt it is quite stiff. Half and full lock are, of course present. The engraving on the top of the receiver says Patent Rohre, with serial number 6923 engraved on the bottom of the grip. It will come shipped with the letter of authenticity as well as a silicone gun sock. I am looking for $1750 shipped by Canada Post. Selling under retail price for a quicker sale. Cash or EMT only. Howdy Townpost. This is a nice little and fair conditioned pocket tip-up revolver, in .30 Rimfire. In the 19th century, XXX was used denote very strong malt liquor. So I think marlin was trying to market in the name that this is a stout little gun. Similarly done by Hopkins & Allen with the naming of their "XL" series of pocket revolvers. These were made by Marlin from 1873-1887 with a total of roughly 26,000 being made. They are essentially copies of the Smith and Wesson Model 1 1/2's and 2's. The mechanical condition of this firearm is excellent. The hammer and cylinder function reliably and as intended. Timing and lock up are excellent. The barrel is tight on the frame. This revolver was tuned by my gunsmith too. The bore is worn but there's some life left in it. There's frosting at the front of the cylinder and the forcing cone. The nickel is mostly present on the frame and the beautiful original rosewood grips are in excellent shape. The revolver is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Howdy Townpost! I've got a nice little uncommon and good condition subcompact Remington for sale now! This started its life as a Remington Model 1865 New Model Police as a cap and ball percussion revolver in .36 caliber. Many of these were never percussion guns as they existed in a weird transition period. And Remington made some of them from the ground up as cartridge guns. This one most likely was in inventory as a percussion revolver and was turned into a .38 rimfire cartridge revolver based on the serial number, in my opinion. These are one of the more rare and lesser known Remington cap and ball guns that were made. Remington only made 18,000 between 1865 and 1873. So they are relatively uncommon and scarce gun today. This is actually my personal favorite model of Remington percussion revolver they're a very handy subcompact-sized gun by today's standards they're bigger and much more comfortable in the hand in the grip than the pocket models but nice and light unlike the full size military .44s and they point very naturally. This particular example is in very good condition the nickel is a very high percentage of coverage some of the original silver plate is still visible on the trigger guard and some of the low areas. The color case hardening is still very colorful and defined on the hammer (pictured). The grips have been refinished but they are the originals. The wood grain is very interesting and beautiful in my opinion. The bore is in excellent condition especially for a Civil War era black powder firearm. This was likely carried in a police officer's holster and not fired much. It was well taken care of and the clean and good condition bore and chambres are reflection of that. The the mechanical function of this firearm is excellent as well. When I got the firearm it was actually in amazing condition to begin with and the mechanical function was perfect. It locks up and times perfectly. The hammer and the trigger pull are very crisp, light and smooth. And didn't require any adjustment, Remington did the job and they did it right the first time. The entire revolver has been taken apart and given a gunsmith's cleaning and was reassembled and lightly oiled. I came across a nice little Hunter leather holster at a gun show and found that it fit this gun very well so it's included as a freebie with the gun (pictured). Howdy Townpost! I'm looking to sell my rare bird antique revolver. Husqvarna made 13,619 model 1887 revolvers over the course of 9 years between 1897 and 1905. Of those only 350 were made in 1897, and thus those are the only antique status Husqvarna model 1887s in Canada that are recognized by the RCMP CFP Lab Technicians. This is one of them, number 260. These are not common to say the least. These revolvers are chambered in the 7.5 mm Nagant cartridge. The chamber dimensions are essentially almost identical to the 7.5 Swiss revolver cartridge used in their model 1882s. So you can make proper brass and the proper dimensional cartridge for this gun using either .32-20 Winchester, .25-20 Winchester, 7.62mm Nagant (1895), or 8mm Lebel Revolver brass as parent cases. I have some virgin 7.62 Nagant brass that I'll throw in as a freebie to the buyer and there's like 50 pieces in this bag. Or the more expedient way to shoot this gun is to shoot 32 Smith & Wesson long or short as an inexpensive and smokeless off the shelf ammunition. This is commonly done in Switzerland with Swiss model 1882 revolvers, and given that this has almost essentially identical chamber dimensions (they Husqys are actually little a bit tighter) you can do the same. So I decided to give it a whirl with the .32 S&W and was actually very pleasantly surprised by my results. My best three round group at 25 yards with PPU .32 Smith and Wesson Long with round nose lead bullets was 2 inches. Those were the first three rounds I fired through the revolver but the three following rounds in the same cylinder opened up to a 5 inch group as the barrel heated up. I still have the target and can provide a photo of it upon request. I imagine any almost any .32 Smith & Wesson standard velocity factory ammunition would be fine to shoot in this except Sellier & Bellot because it has a fairly small diameter rim diameter and the rounds sink into the chamber and will not headspace properly and the hammer can't reach them. One in five cases bulges and splits open, but the majority of rounds fired essentially fire form to the chamber and could be possibly reloaded in my opinion. Overall the ammunition performs surprisingly well for being how undersized it is and as long as you use lead bullets or maybe a hollow-based jacketed bullet, the bullet will expand and grab the rifling and stabilize very well and achieve good accuracy. The revolver is all matching except for three parts. The cylinder is an unserialized replacement. The trigger guard and the side plate are also replacements in the 4200 SN# range. The chambres and bore are all in excellent condition. There is one spot of extremely shallow corrosion sot in the bore and that is pictured. Beyond that, the bore is sharp with tall lands and is mirror shiny. And all of the chambers are very clean and shiny as well. They are also pictured. Overall the gun is in very good condition the most noticeable wear is on the color case hardening that is on the loading gate trigger and loading gate spring. The non-matching side plate was reblued to more closely match the original blue on the frame. I will include a little document dossier I've put together in a binder that provides documentation on this firearm. It includes a copy of the Firearms reference table entry or FRN, a copy of the regulations prescribing antique firearms, and some copies of emails I received from the RCMP lab technicians confirming their opinion of the antique legal status of this particular example SN#260 revolver that I received in order to import this firearm easily. It depends on the time of year though and whereabouts. I too have video footage of me shooting this firearm with 32 Smith & Wesson ammunition and the target I used I just have to edit the clips together and upload them to YouTube. But for now you'll have to take my word for it until I upload the video and if that's not good enough for you then you'll probably miss out on the sale cause it's exactly what happened with my .38 Special converted Colt model 1889 that's sold in less than 24 hours.

Howdy there Townpost! I have another custom 12 Gauge delight for you to take a gander at! This is a custom-made one of a kind Ithaca M37 Featherlite put together by my gunsmith for me. As pictured, the overall length is 30 inches long and has a barrel length of 18.5 inches. It weighs 5 lbs, 7oz unloaded, so Featherlight is definitely even more apt than this when this thing was full length. Some fairly extensive work was done. Most notably the barrel and stock were cut down and reshaped the muzzle crown was nicely dressed with file work and reblued and it's nice, smooth and square to the barrel. The original red Ithaca fibreoptic front bead site was reinstalled at the new muzzle. The stock bolt with shortened and a nice decorative cast pewter medallion was added to the butt of the stock to cover up the bolt hole and add very nice piece of decorative flair. And sling swivels were added so this can carried around on sling. The action is very smooth the action release locks up properly, and the spring on it is in good condition. And it slam fires without a problem. What is slam fire you may ask? It means you can hold down the trigger and work the action and every time you close the action with the trigger held down the gun will fire. The gun will fire as fast as you can work the action. So needless to say it's pretty fun to shoot.  This would make an excellent hiking, camping or backpacking shotgun for predator defense in my opinion. Or if she just want a sawed-off shotgun that you can slam fire this is the gun for you. Ithaca started making short versions of the M37 for law enforcement called the Stakeout I believe those were mostly in 20 gauge and they came out sometime in the 70s or '80s. Inland Manufacturing to this day makes something similar to this called the Stakeout II for the US market with an MSRP of $750US. Short versions of the M37 have appeared in a lot of media, probably most notably is the shotgun in the movie Aliens where it's used for "close encounters". There's a well documented cut down Ithaca Featherweight by a Navy SEAL who put a duckbill spreader on it, put a magazine tube extension so that it held 8 and cut the stock off in much the fashion that this one is. This is a budget friendly fixer upper Remington Model 1858 New Army revolver chambered for .44 caliber - price OBO. This revolver would have been born around the US Civil War, and based on level of wear probably saw use in the battle field before being harvested for parts at some point. Who knows what this revolver has seen in its long and resolute time on earth. Luckily it shows promise to be revived as parts still move freely and are not bound up. All required parts are available online, such as from Dixie Gun Works who accept international orders. Functional, a large caliber Remington Revolver in this shape this would generally go for $2000-$3000, with the only other one currently listed at $3800. Honestly I just don't have the time or interest to wait for the parts to show up and repair. My laziness is your gain. By my judgement, this revolver has the following issues: Barrel: loosened 1/16th turn, missing front sight and loading lever catch. Gouge around circumference and a couple dents. Frame: Cylinder pin is undersized (should get a replacement), needs seating lever and trigger guard/trigger guard screw Action: Needs cylinder hand, trigger return spring, and mainspring Overall these parts all appear to be available online from several websites including Positives are that the hammer and trigger move very freely without evidence of rust, and that the cylinder stop, trigger, and hammer interface all seem correct so that with a trigger return spring, mainspring, and cylinder hand all should be able to resume action operation and lockup. Probably a new cylinder pin would be beneficial for this also. The hardwood (walnut) replacement grips are very sturdy and fit well. The rifling is still present and does not look too worn. The frame is in great shape, with an "antiqued" dark grey patina that shows no evidence of active pitting. Overall a promising revolver for repair for an opportunistic buyer to add value. This is a functional scarce and unique Antique Galand Model 1868 single and double action Revolver. Designed for 7 mm Perrin which gives it antique status, this revolver happens to accept the nearly identical .32 S&W short cartridge which can be reloaded at a low cost, and can even be made from cut down .32 S&W Long brass. There are very few antiques that will accept this caliber, so this is a lucky find. Unlike most antiques which are big and heavy, this is a small frame and compact revolver which still shoots a reliable round. Overall length is 7 inches. Mechanics are fair, with a working action in both single and double action. The hammer is strong and indexing is reliable. The rifling is still strongly defined down the 3" barrel, with evenly scattered patches of inactive oxidation from black powder use. The Galand patented mechanism involves a very unique lever which pulls the barrel and cylinder straight forward while ejecting spent shells. All components of this work fine. As a revolver that's a century and a half old, some wear and wiggle is evident in the lever and hinge mechanism, but it still works consistently and properly. Visually this revolver has an even gray/blue surface with some bits of lustre showing beyond the aged patina. No significant pitting is evident, though scattered dings and scratches are present. The grips are solid, with the left one showing an old crack that could be pretty easily stabilized and closed back up. No PAL, 18+ Ships Canada Check my ads for more antiques. Selling to get some cash flow, this is an antique, all matching and fully operational Smith & Wesson top break double action new model #3 revolver. These were the first double action guns ever made by S&W, driven by demand to increase rapid performance at close quarters while still having the choice to shoot with more accuracy in single action. These were mostly chambered in the popular .44 Russian round. These can be purchased in cowboy loads from myself as part of the deal, found online, or easily reloaded with .44 russian, magnum, or special brass. As an antique, this handgun requires no licensing or registration to buy or own in Canada. Do your own legal research! This gun is serial number 35XXX, dating its manufacture to the late 1880s. As a nearly 140 year old gun, the mechanical condition is strong, with all three positions of the hammer exactly as desired and both single and double action trigger pulls nice and light. Indexing is reliable with a lockup of both the cylinder and the top break hatch having less than 1mm wiggle room. The original hard black grips are still sturdy and nice. The 6 inch barrel on this bad boy still has loads of accurate lead to deliver. Ejector functions perfectly. Visually, the overall look is a peppered patina. Very little of the original nickel remains, with a mottled "in the white" surface being most dominant. No severe or active oxidation can be found. All of the two line address and patent info are clearly visible on the top strap, with the S&W stylized logo featured strongly on the right side. For sale is my a mechanically great, all matching, 1880 production short barrel "Shopkeeper" Colt Thunderer in .41 LC. Selling because cash is tight. As an Antique, this handgun is exempt from Canadian licensing and registration requirements, and can be used anywhere a nonrestricted firearm would be legal. Black powder or light load smokeless .41 Long Colt rounds can be purchased online or worked into deal. The 1877 line of revolvers was Colt's first double action model ever produced. They made almost 170,000 from 1877 to 1909 with three main designations: the Colt "Lightning" in .38 LC, the "Thunderer" in .41 LC, and the "Rainmaker" in .32. However, due to Canada's laws, only the .41 caliber ones are designated as "antique". This is luckily one of those guns, and it needs no registration or licensing to own. These models are highly collectible handguns, particularly the short barrelled "Shopkeeper" model due to its easy to stow nature. Arizona Wild West gunslinger Doc Holiday carried one of these. This particular example, SN 22261, was produced rather early in 1880 and has a short but accurate 3.5" barrel. All parts match, and the exterior retains an excellent 85% of the original nickel. The internal mechanics are incredibly clean and original. The bore is fair with strong defined rifling. Grips are nice like-new repros with rampaging Colt medallions. All hammer clicks are present, lockup is rock solid, and the trigger pull is pleasant in both SA and DA. The barrel is stamped with the Hartford Connecticut Colt address and the acid etched "COLT D.A. 41" is still visible. The left side of the frame displays the 3 line 1871, 1874, and 1875 patents. It reads "41 CAL" on the trigger guard. Webley & Sons circa 1896 chambered in .476 Eley and .455 Webley, and sold by the famed John Rigby & Co. in London. Established in 1775, John Rigby & Co remains to this day a staple of the fine firearms market. Their role in this piece's history adds even further to collector value. These revolvers were very popular private purchases among sportsmen and higher ranking officers around the turn of the 20th century up through WW1 as reliable, accurate, and elegant handguns. With an impressive 6" barrel and mirror-bore rifling, this is a collector's or target shooter's dream. I can add a box of 50 factory new Fiocchi Heritage .455 Webley rounds with purchase of the revolver if you have a PAL. If you don't want these rounds, take $100 off asking price. As a pre-1898 antique, this can be owned and used without any registration or headaches. Visually this revolver retains most of its original shiny dark blue finish with scattered minor loss from 130 years living. The trigger, hammer, ejector, cylinder release mechanism, and hinge screw have a shiny silver "in the white" finish giving a proud and bold contrast. The original checkered square bottom hardwood grips are solid, showing some minor dings and a tiny chip on the right. Sharply stamped "WG Army Model" on the top strap with calibers ".455/.476" Webley and Eley, and the W&S winged bullet logo on the left of the frame. The barrel is hand etched with the retailer address "JOHN RIGBY & Co. 72 ST JAMES'S St LONDON S.W.". The serial 13XXX places manufacture in the mid-late 1890s and makes this one of the most modern antiques you can get. The bore retains shiny, strong rifling with scarce patches of wear. The action functions excellent in single and double action, leaving nothing to be desired. The cylinder indexes and locks up with almost no wiggle for reliable firing and the timing is excellent. Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 38-55. Date 1909 The stock was varnished at some point. The wood on forearm and butt stock is very good with just some minor bangs from use. Original curved steel recoil butt plate is in place. The bluing on barrel, magazine and lever is approximately 75% and the receiver is < 10%. The metal is good but has some minor scratches, etc. and evidence of minor surface rusting. The non-load side of the received looks like course steel wool was used on it. Buck horn sights are in excellent condition and period correct. The barrel is 26” with a full magazine, and the muzzle looks good. Bore is polished & shiny and shows very minor past corrosion, probably from black powder use. Rifling is in good condition. Screws have been used but are in very good condition. All lettering and the serial number are crisp and clear. Operationally everything checks out. The trigger is good. The firing pin extends out when pushed, The cartridge lifter works well and the ejector is tight. Spring on loading port is tight. Half cock safety works and hold when bumped, when at full cock or fire ready the hammer does not fall when bumped. Overall, this firearm is graded as good. A good addition to any collection.
