Howdy Townpost! I have a unique one for you this time. You there sir or madam! You wouldn't want to travel these dangerous streets without some form of protection under your coat! Have a look at this and turn off barrel pistol with a switchblade bayonet for backup, made by Mr. Nock. You may need it should you encounter any rowdies! This is a single shot box lock percussion pistol. It's a screw-barrel meaning you unthread the barrel, fill the powder chamber and place a ball on top it. You then use the barrel itself and the threads to seat the ball inside of the breach. Then a percussion cap on the nipple, put it at half cock put it in your dapper overcoat and pull it out should you meet any Scallywags on your travels. In my opinion this is an early Samuel Nock made Circa 1840s pistol. Based on comparable examples I've seen and the style of Engraving and construction of the pistol this appears to be an early production Samuel Nock made pistol. Samuel Nock was the nephew and an apprentice of of the more famous Henry Nock. Samuel knock became a very skilled and renowned gun maker in his own right. Most of his guns would be marked S. Nock but some of his earlier stuff had only his last name. I suspect he was trying to trade on his more famous uncle's name at the time. Overall the pistol is in pretty good condition except for a small hairline crack in the frame (pictured). There is some moderate pitting in the bore however it looks worse in the photo than it actually is. This is a smooth bore pistol and is breech loading so the pitting shouldn't make it difficult to load or shoot. This pistol was intended for point blank range shooting by virtue of the fact that has a stubby little bayonet to use in case you missed your target. The pistol mechanically fine. The trigger and lockwork are all in good working order and the spring loaded bayonet mechanism works perfectly. They are often broken because of the small springs and the daily carry type use of these firearms. The pistol is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide too.

Howdy Townpost! I've got a nice little uncommon and good condition subcompact Remington for sale now! This started its life as a Remington Model 1865 New Model Police as a cap and ball percussion revolver in .36 caliber. Many of these were never percussion guns as they existed in a weird transition period. And Remington made some of them from the ground up as cartridge guns. This one most likely was in inventory as a percussion revolver and was turned into a .38 rimfire cartridge revolver based on the serial number, in my opinion. These are one of the more rare and lesser known Remington cap and ball guns that were made. Remington only made 18,000 between 1865 and 1873. So they are relatively uncommon and scarce gun today. This is actually my personal favorite model of Remington percussion revolver they're a very handy subcompact-sized gun by today's standards they're bigger and much more comfortable in the hand in the grip than the pocket models but nice and light unlike the full size military .44s and they point very naturally. This particular example is in very good condition the nickel is a very high percentage of coverage some of the original silver plate is still visible on the trigger guard and some of the low areas. The color case hardening is still very colorful and defined on the hammer (pictured). The grips have been refinished but they are the originals. The wood grain is very interesting and beautiful in my opinion. The bore is in excellent condition especially for a Civil War era black powder firearm. This was likely carried in a police officer's holster and not fired much. It was well taken care of and the clean and good condition bore and chambres are reflection of that. The the mechanical function of this firearm is excellent as well. When I got the firearm it was actually in amazing condition to begin with and the mechanical function was perfect. It locks up and times perfectly. The hammer and the trigger pull are very crisp, light and smooth. And didn't require any adjustment, Remington did the job and they did it right the first time. The entire revolver has been taken apart and given a gunsmith's cleaning and was reassembled and lightly oiled. I came across a nice little Hunter leather holster at a gun show and found that it fit this gun very well so it's included as a freebie with the gun (pictured). Howdy Townpost. I've a neat old single shot 12 gauge made by Savage. It has a nice and light tenite stock that was sanded at one point to give it a matte finish. The shotgun is very tight and not off the face at all. The gun is very light and handy sitting 5.73lbs. It has a 12 gauge 2 3/4in, 28in full choke barrel. The patent number is molded into the plastic stock interestingly enough. The black paint on the trigger guard is flaking of a little. The shotgun is located in Calgary AB for local delivery or pickup. Or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. It's pretty short when broken down, and is light so it should be relatively inexpensive to ship. If you live in Alberta I do get around the province a fair bit throughout the year, so if I happen to be heading to your area maybe we can do a meet up along the way on my travels to save you the shipping costs. This is a budget friendly fixer upper Remington Model 1858 New Army revolver chambered for .44 caliber - price OBO. This revolver would have been born around the US Civil War, and based on level of wear probably saw use in the battle field before being harvested for parts at some point. Who knows what this revolver has seen in its long and resolute time on earth. Luckily it shows promise to be revived as parts still move freely and are not bound up. All required parts are available online, such as from Dixie Gun Works who accept international orders. Functional, a large caliber Remington Revolver in this shape this would generally go for $2000-$3000, with the only other one currently listed at $3800. Honestly I just don't have the time or interest to wait for the parts to show up and repair. My laziness is your gain. By my judgement, this revolver has the following issues: Barrel: loosened 1/16th turn, missing front sight and loading lever catch. Gouge around circumference and a couple dents. Frame: Cylinder pin is undersized (should get a replacement), needs seating lever and trigger guard/trigger guard screw Action: Needs cylinder hand, trigger return spring, and mainspring Overall these parts all appear to be available online from several websites including Positives are that the hammer and trigger move very freely without evidence of rust, and that the cylinder stop, trigger, and hammer interface all seem correct so that with a trigger return spring, mainspring, and cylinder hand all should be able to resume action operation and lockup. Probably a new cylinder pin would be beneficial for this also. The hardwood (walnut) replacement grips are very sturdy and fit well. The rifling is still present and does not look too worn. The frame is in great shape, with an "antiqued" dark grey patina that shows no evidence of active pitting. Overall a promising revolver for repair for an opportunistic buyer to add value. *Sold* Parting with my Colt 1878 revolver. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. These revolvers were most commonly chambered in .44-40 Winchester and dubbed the "Frontier Model", with the .476 chambering being very scarce. They were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber twist on the new Colt 1877 Thunderer/Lightning model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. Selling to clear up some moolah for car repairs. Pre-1898 Canada legal antique. This revolver was made in 1885. It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. Serials match 15xxx, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement. This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice black finish with shiny nickeled highlights on the hammer, trigger, and hammer screw. The visual condition speaks for itself. A stunning piece sure to catch eyes, and assurance that the metal will remain protected. The rifling is still strong and defined, showing some scattered frosting. The grips appear original, and are sturdy with minor holster wear on the high points from time on the hip. The action is great. The internals are shiny in factory condition. The cylinder locks up airtight at firing position. I have never seen an 1878 or 1877 with tighter lockup. In the unique fashion of the 1878 model design, this revolver has no cylinder stop allowing slight backrotation when you disengage the action, but it still generally cycles. The loading gate is a bit wobbly, contributing to backrotation.
