British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet with leather scabbard and a frog This is a British M1853 Socket Bayonet for use with the Enfield, Snider, Martini rifles. This 1853 pattern was the standard bayonet carried by nearly every British infantryman of the mid-19th century and widely used during the Crimean War, Indian Mutiny, and in numerous colonial campaigns. Production of the1853 pattern socket bayonet continued throughout the life of the Enfield Muzzleloader and the Snider rifle and was finally terminated in 1875. The blade has a slight downward curve to allow easier reloading while fixed to the muzzle-loading Enfield rifle. Measuring 44 cm (17 inches), it features a triangular cross-section with fullers on all three sides, tapering to a narrow, down-turned point. Scabbard in good condition and includes a leather frog. The brass tip on the scabbard wiggles a bit but is still solidly attached. The scabbard is stamped W.D. (War Department) below the frog stud with the Broad Arrow symbol above the initials. The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light. All Paragon models also boast the best eye relief when ranked against competing micro prism sights. -------------------------------------------- Vector Optics Paragon x1 The design of he Paragon x1 is as low profile as possible. I’m taking a significant loss on all of these items so please do not lowball me. The pens are top of the line titanium and the syphon pen is a limited edition that uses Fisher space pen cartridges. It is the nicest pen I’ve ever had and I bought a second one as a back up, which is what I am selling now. The zippo is brand new and there are some initials engraved on it that can be polished off. I paid upwards of over 1000.00 for all these items and am selling the whole package for only 500.00. The knives are M30 and D2 steel. I have been accumulating this collection over the past 15 years.

Near mint condition, would be mint but there are the usual light scratches here and there on the dust cover, although very minimal. This turntable was last serviced 2 years ago with a new belt installed at that time. Recently cleaned the pitch control pots with Deoxit, keeps speed perfectly. Primary use of this turntable back in the day was to transfer vinyl records over to cassette tape. Approx 75 records were transferred then it was stored until now. Not a whole lot of use on the player. Comes with a Shure M91ED MM cartridge and stylus. You would be hard pressed to find another SL-23 in this condition.
