*Sold* Parting with my Colt 1878 revolver. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. These revolvers were most commonly chambered in .44-40 Winchester and dubbed the "Frontier Model", with the .476 chambering being very scarce. They were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber twist on the new Colt 1877 Thunderer/Lightning model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. Selling to clear up some moolah for car repairs. Pre-1898 Canada legal antique. This revolver was made in 1885. It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. Serials match 15xxx, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement. This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice black finish with shiny nickeled highlights on the hammer, trigger, and hammer screw. The visual condition speaks for itself. A stunning piece sure to catch eyes, and assurance that the metal will remain protected. The rifling is still strong and defined, showing some scattered frosting. The grips appear original, and are sturdy with minor holster wear on the high points from time on the hip. The action is great. The internals are shiny in factory condition. The cylinder locks up airtight at firing position. I have never seen an 1878 or 1877 with tighter lockup. In the unique fashion of the 1878 model design, this revolver has no cylinder stop allowing slight backrotation when you disengage the action, but it still generally cycles. The loading gate is a bit wobbly, contributing to backrotation. Red - Gelding 7 year old Arab X Red is an in your pocket kind of guy, easy to catch, tie, good for farrier. Has been roped around and off (lightly). Lives inside or out. Around kids and dogs, has lived in a private pen and with another gelding here. Lead behind side by side and quads. Someone put a decent start on him at one time because he has a few buttons, just needs consistency. Happily walk, trot, canters over poles. Good around cows. Just needs more miles than I can give him at this point in my life as he wasn’t supposed to be quite this much of a project. I’ve had him since May, bought to be a horse for my husband and eventually kids but I can’t see that in his near future therefore he is for sale. Forward ride, needs a soft hand. Happiest to go on a lose rein at Red’s speed so if his quirks can be sorted, he will be a cool guy. The quirks: Does not like spray bottles, but if you have the time this can be dealt with as he is very smart. Some days he decides to spook at the same brush I’ve used everyday. He can be buddy sour but does work out of it, which is why I have him in a private pen and haven’t had issues. Randomly will decide to not load, I haul him a ton. Needs work on soft, supple and collected. Respectful of his humans, so even when he’s having a moment will stay out of your space. 3 year old Catahoula border collie cross and has lots of behaviours associated with herding breeds including a love to work and be outside. He enjoys running outside, being active, and human attention. He is not a dog for someone who is gone a lot or for long periods of time, he also is not a dog to be kept cooped up - his ideal day is a hot summer out in the yard and a relaxing evening on the couch inside a home with an owner. Would not be okay left unattended in a barn over night - he’s not that kind of dog he likes to be out in the day but at night he wants to be in on the couch, in the lap of a human. He needs daily exercise time to run, stretch his legs and burn off energy. He would do best with either an elderly couple who likes to go for walks on local city trails, garden outside, enjoys their backyard but also is home throughout the day. Or On a farm/ranch working with other herding breeds in the day time, and inside on an old lazy boy recliner watching the game with his human by evening. We lost our home, have been reduced to an rv, have a baby and despite our best efforts to try to make it work - we now see there’s a difference in “making it work” and being fair to his needs. Keeping him at this point is selfish and doing more harm than giving him an opportunity in an established home.

The scope is a SKW Optics 5x30x56 FFP in 0.5 MIL/click. The scope is high quality and tracks well. It s a 34 mm tube with lots of internal adjustment. It comes with everything already done and researched. You don t have to do anything.The rifle was $900 ,scope was $700 muzzle break $100 ,butt stock pad $40, scope rings $100,scope rings handlapping $50, extra magazine $100,trigger adjustment $50. The rifle is ready to shoot. Doesn't need anything. About 300 rounds through it. Currently sighted at 300 yards. Sold as a package since the scope rings are hand lapped for this rifle. No lowballers. This is Dottie. She is honestly the sweetest and gentlest pup I’ve had in 3 litters. I’m not sure why but all of her siblings were taken to good families except her. I kept her because she deserve to be loved and to also have the opportunity to find her family and furever home. Dottie listens to commands well. She is obedient and her bark packs a punch. It’s more bark than bite of course. She loves cuddling and playing in the yard with the other dogs. She also loves baking treats in the kitchen with me (she’s mainly there for the peanut butter). Dottie will grow to a mid size dog. She will probably at this point become thicker than taller. Dottie is a smart cookie for sure. That’s the border collie in her. I have both her parents and they are grown dogs, happy, healthy and very intelligent. The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. Without a doubt we have fallen in love with her but unfortunately can’t keep her. It will be tough to say goodbye however we are hopeful that the right family is out there looking for her too.
