JOB SUMMARY We are seeking full-time painters to join our team for this upcoming summer season, beginning work in early May and ending the season in late August. Jobsites will primarily be located in Red Deer and Sylvan Lake with occasional contracts located in the surrounding areas. No previous painting experience is required. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, time management skills, and a positive attitude for learning and developing ones abilities. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high standard of finish.  LOCATION: Work sites will primarily be located in Red Deer and Sylvan Lake, with occasional contracts located in the surrounding areas. Travel pay is included for jobs located excessively outside of either towns, within reason.  PAY: Pay is determined through a performance based, piece rate system, (will be explained in more detail during the initial call) offering wages ranging from $18/hour to $30/hour. Opportunities for tips and bounces based on performance.  QUALIFICATIONS No painting experience needed. We provide training manuals and in person coaching for all new recruits.  Possess a reliable mode of transportation to arrive at job sites on time. Willingness to learn and improve skills. Willingness and ability to work from ladders and scaffolding, potentially reaching a maximum up 30 feet in height.  Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Read, understand, and implement learning materials provided by the employer. Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, primarily through the removal of failed paint, filling of dents on interior walls, and ensuring a clean surface. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Regularly utilize scaffolding or ladders as needed to reach high areas safely. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project details and timelines. Maintain and keep track of painting tools and equipment.
