The M1941 Johnson is a very rare firearm designed prior to WWII by a Marine Corps Captain. The quick change barrel and a ten round magazine that can be reloaded during firing are but two of the many unique M1941 Johnson innovations. The M1941 Johnson was used by the Marine Raiders and the Para-Marines at the beginning of World War II and served as their main semi-auto rifle until adoption of the M1 Garand in late 1942. Extremely limited availability. Less than 30,000 left in the world making it the rarest of the US battle rifles. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ● Action: Short Recoil Semi-Auto ● Weight 9 lbs 8 oz ● Length 47.95 in● Muzzle Velocity: 2,700fps ● Max. range: 3,500 yds ● Max. Cal. 30-06. Serial# 4798918. Bbl.24". Marked behind front sight "SC" with a flaming bomb and "10-43." Aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight. Swept bolt marked on top of handle "B2" and marking underneath appears as "F." Safety lug is Remington style, as is the bolt shroud. All stamped furniture, including large bow triggerguard and fine checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set with two recoil bolts. The grip is marked underneath with encircled "P" proof. Assembly marks are visible ahead of the trigger guard. CONDITION: stock set has a and bruises in its appearance commensurate with extensive service. There are numerous handling marks. The metal retains its original finish with some thinning and wear. Very good, shiny 4-groove bore. also comes with a leather combat sling. WW1 Swiss Model 1914 Pioneer Sawback Sword bayonet Sawback sword bayonet for use on the 7.5 mm. Schmidt-Rubin M1911 carbine and the M1931 Short Rifle (K31). The M1914 has a swell-point blade profile, where the blade is wider at the point than at the ricasso. The 1914 blade is fullered on only one side. The right side of the blade has the initials HS stamped immediately in front of the guard for the Maker Hans Steimer With the Swiss proof mark stamped below the initials. The back of the blade has an aggressive saw blade which starts 1” in front of the guard and extends to 14” from the guard. The right side of the guard has the number 478681 stamped in it. The release button works as designed. The scabbard is in good condition with the original leather attachment strap included. This bayonet was manufactured by Paillard with their mark stamped on the end of the scabbard. Overall Length – with blade in scabbard - 25” Length of Bayonet – 23 7/8” Length of Grip including the Guard – 5” Blade Length – 19 3/4” The M1914 was issued to select troops. When equipped with K31 rifles, the M1914 bayonet was issued to: —Engineers; —Driver corporals and mounted artillery sergeants; —Blacksmiths, blacksmith private first class or lance corporal, blacksmith sergeants; —Horse transport soldiers, PFCs, corporals and sergeants; —Saddle makers; and, —Drivers for motorized field artillery, howitzers and heavy howitzers.
