Cal. 30-06. Serial# 4798918. Bbl.24". Marked behind front sight "SC" with a flaming bomb and "10-43." Aperture rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Blade front sight. Swept bolt marked on top of handle "B2" and marking underneath appears as "F." Safety lug is Remington style, as is the bolt shroud. All stamped furniture, including large bow triggerguard and fine checkered trap buttplate. Walnut stock set with two recoil bolts. The grip is marked underneath with encircled "P" proof. Assembly marks are visible ahead of the trigger guard. CONDITION: stock set has a and bruises in its appearance commensurate with extensive service. There are numerous handling marks. The metal retains its original finish with some thinning and wear. Very good, shiny 4-groove bore. also comes with a leather combat sling. Non-Restricted rifle Remington model P17, .30-06 bolt action, w/ bbl length 24" [Blued barrel and receiver. Fixed front, no rear sight. Fitted with Universal 4X32 scope. Sporterized wooden Monte Carlo stock with aluminum butt plate. Fitted with sling mounts. Marked NOT ENGLISH MAKE, logo with crown and BM on left side of receiver. Other markings include .30/06 NITRO PROOF etc. on barrel, BM logo on bolt but no serial number seen. Parts gun as receiver has a crack by the nitro proof marks. Bluing worn in use and handling areas. Two drilled and tapped holes on right side of receiver with corresponding notch removed on stock, presumably from once attached rear peep sight. Handling and storage marks on wood and metal. Hey, all! I am in search of a Remington 700, preferably chambered in: 7mm08, 6.5x55 or .30-06. Really anything less powerful than a .300 wm or 7mm mag. I would also prefer it to be pre-bankruptcy, (around 2006), and it needs to have a bottom metal, which the adl model lacks. Purchased new in 2014 and shot 40 times cleaned and left in storage since. While hunting the back nipple that holds the shoulder strap broke. The bolt was lost during storage and the one seen in the picture is from a 710 Remington 30-06 this 30-06 is a Remington Model 770. It fits and latches in a little snug no round has been fired through with the 710 bolt. Please consult a gunsmith prior to firing. Gun is reduced price to account for a new bolt.
