Up for grabs here is a sporterized 303 cal Lee Enfield. Hopefully the photos speak for themselves. The unit is not in the best of shape overall. The positive thing about this rifle is the bolt and the gun have matching serial numbers and the barrel and rifling are in very very goood shape.The gun did have a scope on it, which has since been removed (see photos). The front sight has been removed. One of the rifle sling rings is missing.The wood has some small dings and scratches and chips. There is a screw broken off on the bottom of the magazine plate. Selling/trading a Browning Superposed 12 gauge over under. Overall it's in nice shape. This is a pre-war gun made somewhere between 1931 an 1939 (SN 10###). 30" barrels with solid rib, 2 3/4" chambers, fixed chokes (not marked), ejectors, single trigger with safety on the tang not operable but a safety on the underside of the trigger that slides forward and back - this was a factory option that many guns were retrofitted with after 1937. Receiver was factory colour case hardened - the vast majority of which has faded but is still present on the underside of the release lever and on the inside of the action when the barrels are removed. Bluing on the barrels show very well with only light spots of fading here and there. Receiver has nice factory scroll work throughout. Straight English style stock. Wood is all in good shape, normal marks here and there. Has a hairline on the left side of the forestock which doesn't appear to be through the wood. The heel of the butt stock has a chunk out of it and a chip in the butt plate in the same spot. Lockup is tight, bores are in nice shape throughout. Overall a very nice shotgun. Wood stocks are in nice shape throughout with normal bumps and bruises. Bluing is also in good shape, shows normal fading. Bore is in good shootable shape. Comes with sling pictured. From what I understand this rifle does have a tendency of light striking some primers - sometimes often, sometimes not as often. Using the same principle as electroplating, this system uses a low voltage and chemicals to remove the lead or copper from your barrel and plate it on the sacrificial anode (stainless steel rod) that you insert in the barrel. It did work in my 243 win 1885 but I just don't shoot enough to make it worthwhile. I think if you had some heavily fouled barrels, maybe a cache of military surplus for example this would be alot less work that scrubbing forever. Comes with the controller, the chemicals, the stainless steel rod and the electrochemical isolation doo-dads. Not sure about shipping as the rods are 30" long and there are two chemicals. Canadian Long Branch Lee Enfield. Not sure if all matching or not. But it is all original Long Branch by the looks of it except the butt plate. Appears to maybe have been cleaned up at a english arsenal as there are two serial numbers one appears as a regular long branch serial number while the other resembles the British standard of serial markings..
