Antique shiny BLACK BEAUTY Colt 1878 Frontier Revolver in .476/.455 Webley
*Sold* Parting with my Colt 1878 revolver. She's single and double action, chambered in .476 Eley which is interchangeable with .455 Webley. These revolvers were most commonly chambered in .44-40 Winchester and dubbed the "Frontier Model", with the .476 chambering being very scarce. They were introduced in 1878 as a larger frame, larger caliber twist on the new Colt 1877 Thunderer/Lightning model, filling a niche most similar to the 1873 Single Action Army, but this time in double action as well. Selling to clear up some moolah for car repairs. Pre-1898 Canada legal antique. This revolver was made in 1885. It has the desirable Pall Mall one line address on the barrel reading "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. DEPOT 14. PALL MALL LONDON" with most words still visible. This address is a rarity and was only put on guns intended for the European markets. Serials match 15xxx, with the last 3 digits stamped on the cylinder. The loading gate is a replacement. This gorgeous revolver has an extremely nice black finish with shiny nickeled highlights on the hammer, trigger, and hammer screw. The visual condition speaks for itself. A stunning piece sure to catch eyes, and assurance that the metal will remain protected. The rifling is still strong and defined, showing some scattered frosting. The grips appear original, and are sturdy with minor holster wear on the high points from time on the hip. The action is great. The internals are shiny in factory condition. The cylinder locks up airtight at firing position. I have never seen an 1878 or 1877 with tighter lockup. In the unique fashion of the 1878 model design, this revolver has no cylinder stop allowing slight backrotation when you disengage the action, but it still generally cycles. The loading gate is a bit wobbly, contributing to backrotation. You can read more here: https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/colt-1878-revolver/ A beautiful collector piece and functional revolver. Don't be a stranger, feel free to call or text if you have any questions. Comes with .455 Webley ammo for $125 if you have PAL. Photo of Sold - Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 32-40 Ref #1043
$1200
Sold - Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 32-40 Ref #1043
Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action 32-40 Ref #1043 This firearm comes with a Winchester letter indicating it was originally an Octagon barrel, it has however been rebarreled to a round barrel which is marked Model 94. The action is a Model 1894. The butt stock is near perfect, the forend has two hairline cracks that had been professionally repaired at one time, probably when rebarreled. The finish is period correct. Original curved steel recoil butt plate is in place. The bluing on barrel, magazine and lever is approximately 75% and the receiver is 20%. Barrel is 26” with a 2/3 magazine, and the muzzle looks excellent. The metal is excellent with no dings, scratches, etc. There is no rust or corrosion evident. A few rub marks on the right side of action. Sights are in excellent condition and period correct. Bore is clean and does not appear to have seen black powder, there is no corrosion, it’s nice and shiney, with rifling in good condition. Screws have been used but are in very good condition. All lettering and the serial number are crisp and clear. Operationally everything checks out. The trigger is good. The firing pin extends out when pushed, The cartridge lifter works well and the ejector is tight. Spring on loading port is tight. Half cock safety works and hold when bumped, when at full cock or fire ready the hammer does not fall when bumped. Overall, this firearm is graded as a shooter due to being rebarreled, but it is in good condition and a good addition to any collection. Only reasonable offers are considered. Low ball offers will not be responded to. Trades in person only. The firearms and accessories I sell may be new or used and are usually acquired through estate liquidations. I visually inspect them and check basic operation only and share what I know or find in the description and photos. They are not live test fired. I provide full disclosure on what I find but can not be held responsible for what I may miss. It is your responsibility to have your firearm inspected by a competent gunsmith before firing, shoot at your own risk. I am not a gunsmith. On final purchase you have accepted full responsibility for the item. E-transfer or cash only. S/H & insurance are extra. Tracking number will be provided. I require your full name, PAL #, date of birth and email address for licence verification for firearms and ammunition. Thanks, Darcy Darcy's Estate Liquidations

Photo of Antique (no PAL) RARE Unwin & Rodgers "NON-XLL" Knife Pistol Handgun with Folding Trigger

Antique (no PAL) RARE Unwin & Rodgers "NON-XLL" Knife Pistol Handgun with Folding Trigger
Price drop from 3650 Dec 1! This is an incredibly rare antique Unwin & Rodgers NON-XLL folding knife pistol from the mid-1800s, chambered in a 28 caliber rimfire. Based on dimensions it should accept 25 Stevens rimfire. This is a pocket knife to put all Swiss Army knives to shame, packing a big punch with a folding trigger single action handgun. It is a very collectible piece, and hard to come by in this condition. It would have probably been owned or given as a gift to a relatively wealthy businessman as an elegant approach to utility and self defense. In the 1841 Sheffield trade directory, Unwin and Rodgers advertised themselves as “manufacturers of spring knife cutlery, including lancets, scissor knives and pen machines, pistol knives, American and Indian hunting and self-defense knives.” The theory is that the NON*XLL markings, when read aloud, translate into the phrase “Non-excel,” signifying that the Unwin and Rodgers knife pistol had no peers. Read more here: http://www.johnbhenry.com/store/p152/UNWIN_%26_RODGERS_NON-XLL_KNIFE_PISTOL_%281170%29.html As a pre-1898 Antique collectible, this can be owned by anyone over the age of 18 without any registration or paperwork, and can be fired pretty much anywhere a non-restricted gun would be acceptable. This British made knife pistol is in beautiful condition, with the steel in amazing condition on both the blades and the barrel also. It has carved horn grips, a beautiful shiny barrel, and an even sheen on the knives with no rust. Where many old knives have been sharpened and worn down over the decades, the blade profiles are still original and incredibly sharp. The left grip has a small crack where the rivets are, but it is still very stable and solid. It has multiple Birmingham proofs, and is signed on both blades. The trigger and both knives fold and unfold very cleanly. It is about 10 inches long when the knives are opened. The mainspring is very strong, and all functions correctly in the action and ejector. It has a storage compartment for keeping shells, cleaning patches, and spent casings. The blades are in fantastic shape, especially at over 160 years old. No PAL required, 18+ Ships anywhere in Canada I make no claims about the safety of ANY antique firearm. Check with a gunsmith if you have concerns! Check my ads for more awesome antique handguns! Photo of Pre 1881 S&W Model 1 3rd Issue .32
$600
Pre 1881 S&W Model 1 3rd Issue .32
First introduced in 1865 and produced continuously until 1892. The Smith & Wesson Model 1 1/2 was Smith & Wesson's second .32 caliber revolver, intended to combine the small size and convenience of the .22 caliber Model 1 with the larger caliber of the 6-shot "belt sized" Model 2, which was introduced in 1860. Chambered in .32 cal, its cylinder held 5 shots. It was produced in three varieties, termed "issues" by S&W, with total production exceeding 223,000. The First Issue Model 1 1/2 had a non-fluted cylinder and a flat-bottomed "square" grip and was chambered for .32 rimfire ammunition, and approximately 26,000 were produced. The Second Issue had a fluted cylinder and barrel, and a more comfortable and attractive rounded "bird's head" style grip. This version saw production of around 100,000. The Third Issue was quite a departure from the previous two, and is officially termed the "Model No. 1 1/2 Single Action Revolver". Unlike the first two issues, this was a top-break design, consistent with the Safety Hammerless or S&W .38 Single Action design. It can be readily distinguished from the first two issues by the large hinge in the front of the frame below the barrel, and the lack of an ejector rod. The grip is rounded at the butt and is similar in appearance to that on the 2nd Issue. Most importantly, this revolver debuted the .32 S&W centerfire cartridge. This example bears the serial number 104588 on the butt. The grip plates are original made from a natural BAKELITE-like material called Gutta Percha. Overall condition is good, though a lot of past pitting. The barrel shows lands and grooves but is somewhat worn, and the latch spring is unfortunately broken. These small pistols were a favorite of Gamblers and Ladies of the Night: these little revolvers saved a lot of souls no doubt. Open to offers. Will travel to meet within reason. 705-201-1489
