This rifle is a true gem, with most of the parts matching their original numbers, showcasing its authenticity and history. Numbers matching: bolt, receiver, band, floor plate, butt plate etc. The blue finish is pristine, and the wood stock is in perfect condition, free from any cracks or dings. An excellent example of a restored rolling block chambered in .730. As far as I know, this firearm had its origins as a Swedish M1867 from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. It shows in immaculate condition. The barrel has a “JA” stamp, I assume this represents Johnson Automatic who built the custom barrel. The rolling block and action are as new. Comes with enough primers for a lifetime as well as 10 loaded cartridges and my dad’s reloading specs. The story goes that the firearm was used in Africa as tiger protection and somehow wound up in Canada. My Dad passed away a couple of years ago and now it is time for someone else to enjoy this stunning firearm.

100 yr old Double-barrel. Fantastic condition fo the age. Butt and fore-end wood are perfect, no scratches or dings, still carrying the original varnish. 30" Barrels, a bit of wear showing, but nothing serious. Original blueing has aged to a decent patina. A couple of small dings on the barrel, due to sitting in a safe for many many years. Shoots beautifully and is a great gun for trap or gamebirds. I would no recommend letting off both barrels at once unless you know how to brace yourself properly. Breech is not fancy, with minor scrollwork. Historically, Fox rates as one of the better non-European shotguns from this era. Would consider trade for pre-1970 Winchester '94 in .30-.30.

Pre-WW1 British Pattern 1821 Canadian Artillery Officer's Sword – no Scabbard Savage and Lyman Montreal Sword This company name was used by the Montreal silversmiths Savage and Lyman between 1868-1878. The left side of the blade immediately in front of the guard Is marked Savage & Lyman Montreal Within the engraving on the left side is a Crown.  Believed to be indicative of Queen Victoria. The right side of the blade has a small brass insert which says PROOF.  Wilkinson Sword introduced these Proof Discs in 1844. In the engraving on the right side of the blade is the word ARTILLERY The guard is steel and has fish skin wire bound grips with most of the fish skin having been worn away.   Length of Sword – 40 1/2” Length of Grip including the Guard – 5 1/2” Blade Length – 34 1/2”   Savage & Lyman Montreal (or Savage & Lyman and Company) were manufacturers and suppliers of swords, known for military pattern swords like those for Canadian militia units (e.g., 1st Battalion Chasseurs Canadiens), marking them as producers/sellers, though like many firms, they likely had blades forged elsewhere (perhaps by specialists like J. Martin in Montreal) and then finished, hilted, proofed, and sold by Savage & Lyman in Montreal, a common practice for armsmakers then.  Key Points: Evidence of Manufacturing: Swords clearly marked "SAVAGE & LYMAN MONTREAL" exist in museum collections, showing they were a recognized name in arms. Role: They functioned as an arms dealer and supplier, customizing and selling weapons for Canadian military and militia. Production vs. Supply: While they might not have forged every single blade from raw steel in-house, they were responsible for the final product, including proofing and adding their own markings, as seen on a 1885 Chasseurs Canadiens sword. Selling/trading an H&R Gamemaster Model 348 bolt action 12 gauge. Overall it's in good shape but is missing parts. 28" barrel, 2 3/4" chamber, fixed choke. Bluing has faded and been redone in the past, shows well with some normal streaks. Wood stock is in nice shape throughout. Bore is very good. Missing the internal lifter, bolt stop, some trigger parts, and internal safety parts. Will be sold as is with no warranty or guarantees.
