Since 1930 Valmet's factory rifle club was active as well, having their hand in the design of the Finnish Lion, together with Aimo Lahti, the chief designer. 2. The Finnish Lion has the longest manufacturing time of all Finnish guns, from 1930 to 1979. Models are: M30 (prototype), M31 mod I, mod IIa, IIb, IVb, IVc, M35, M45, M52, M55, M59, M62, M65, M70, M200002 (Finnish Lion Standard) and wild boar version. Winchester Lever Action Repeating Rifle, .38-40 WCF, mfg. 1890. This is a good honest original ‘73 fresh out of a very old local collection. Standard length 24" octagon barrel retains it’s original dovetailed blade front sight and adjustable buckhorn rear. The metal has a mottled dark gray patina overall with some traces of original bluing remaining within protected areas around the sideplates, trigger, and along the dust cover rail. Sharp edges with generally smooth surfaces throughout. Some very light surface oxidation spotting forming toward the muzzle. The stock retains about 40% factory varnish with the balance worn to a pleasing dark untouched patina. Tight wood-to-metal fit with moderate wear overall and a just really honest, unmolested appearance. There is some very minor chipping along the edges of the butt and a super tight old 1" hairline crack at the front left side of the forearm. Original hammer, trigger, lever & locking nut, loading gate, dust cover, buttplate with trapdoor compartment (cleaning rod absent), forend cap, and magazine tube & band. Screws appear to be original. Crystal clear original barrel address, caliber marking, model designation, and serial number "336159" on lower tang. Action is very smooth, crisp, and secure and functions perfectly. Rifling is worn and pitted at the very tip of the muzzle but otherwise the bore shows good rifling overall with moderate/heavy blackpowder frosting and pinprick pitting scattered throughout. A very solid original '73 Winchester with a great Western look..

De Lisle Paratroopers Carbine reproduction for sale. Originally De Lisle Carabine was designed for use by special operations forces, primarily the British Commando Brigades.  The majority of De Lisle Carbines (500) were intended to be produced with their original fixed SMLE butt-stocks. However, 50 were earmarked for a folding ‘para’ stock. The sole surviving example of a folding stock De Lisle Carbine resides today at the Small Arms School Corps collection at Warminster, UK. This reproduction is made to be as historically accurate a copy as possible but exactly according with Canadian Law.  It is a 7.62 x 25 caliber based on the Mark 3 model . It has a long 19" barrel that passes through 2" casing. No plastic parts were used. Only test rounds through the barrel.  It is the only ONE reproduction with folding stock in Canada, and possibly in all North America. The carbine functions well and is a pleasure to shoot.  The price is $3199 plus actual shipping with $100 insurance. Additional insurance is available at the buyer's request and expense. This is a correct WW Suhler Consortium M98 rifle. It is my opinion this rifle was reworked by the German military for use in WWII given the original WWII German armorers replacement. It is in original condition with all parts visible numbers matching. No import mark is present. Triggergaurd is unnumnered however it shows an Imperial H woth crown on the magazine floorplate. The magazine follower is an original German armorer Wafdenampt stamped replacement part. Buttplate is correctly unnumbered. Rating Definition: Excellent. Rifle retains 90-95 % crisp original finish. Stock: The walnut stock is correct and serialized 4473 to the rifle in good condition with a crack on the front left side between the upper barrel band and rear barrel band. Note: Stock pictures in listing show what looks like a crack in the mid area of the buttstock however there is no evidence of this on either the pistol grip side of the buttplate side where the stock is cracked whatsoever. Additional pics can be taken to show this. I hypothesize that this is perhaps a shrinkage in the wood due to rifles age. Rifle shows typical handling marks. No evidence of sanding. Bore: Bore is good with very pronounced lands and grooves visible. Rifle shows a great crown and has a smooth chamber. Mechanically sound, the rifle is in excellent condition. The action functions as it should.
