The Enfield L39A1 is a British military target/match rifle developed in the late 1960s by the Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) Enfield. It was essentially the open-sights counterpart to the L42A1 sniper rifle (which used a telescopic sight), both built on converted Lee-Enfield No. 4 actions rechambered and rebarreled for 7.62×51mm NATO (.308 Winchester compatible). This rifles overall commission isn’t very good shape from the wood to the bore. You will not be disappointed in this precision shooting platform. They were built under a licensing agreement between H&K and several manufacturers. They are a 99% clone to the Heckler & Kock Flare Gun Model P2A1. The design is just slightly (cosmetic) differences All parts and components are same and interchangeable. Just like the H&K this flare gun is one of the most modern military surplus flare guns in existence, with it being lighter than most other flare guns. It is also highly desired as it is an official H&K product, which makes it desired by H&K collectors and fans of HK products. The flare gun went into production in the 80’s and is the most modern and sought after in the market today. Although no special licensing is required to purchase one of these flare guns, HK has put a lot of restriction on when and where they will sell the guns and will not even make them regularly available to their dealers.

Features •  Khaki/tan heavy cotton canvas construction, typical of British/Commonwealth web gear from the era to save on leather due to wartime shortages. •  Flap closure with brass snap (often called a “lift-the-dot” fastener in some variants). •  Brass or metal belt hanger and loops on the back for attachment to P37 web belts or pistol belts. •  Angled design for right-side hip carry, with a reinforced muzzle end. •  Markings: “Z.L.&T. LTD 1940” refers to the manufacturer Zephyr Looms & Textiles Ltd. (Toronto, Canada), a known WWII contractor for Canadian military gear.
