Vector Optics Paragon Series Prism scopes
The word Paragon means, “a model of excellence”. And this is true of this optic series. I see the Paragon as being the technological descendant of the old Bellorussian PK-AS sight, a one power prism sight that through innovative use of lenses, seems to have a nearly non existent edge when you look through it. Thick opaque edges serve only to limit situational awareness. Competing brands and their prism sights are a miss due to large knobs… they are “good enough”. But the nearly invisible edge of the PK-AS and later on the Paragon discarded the idea that “good enough” was actually “good enough” in regards to situational awareness. Unlike the PK-AS, the Paragon is designed to be small and light. All Paragon models also boast the best eye relief when ranked against competing micro prism sights. -------------------------------------------- Vector Optics Paragon x1 The design of he Paragon x1 is as low profile as possible. No opaque protrusions to reduce situational awareness. Controls, windage and elevation adjustments are close to the body of the optic. It is ideal for someone wanting a close quarters optic but not wanting to be at the mercy of batteries. In the cold Canadian climate there is some wisdom in avoiding something battery dependent in the outdoors. The one power paragon has a circle dot reticle which, according to gestalt psychology, draws the eye quickly to the center. It is a reticle type which is faster to acquire than a dot or a crosshair. The Paragon x1 comes with a low mount and a high mount to be optimized for a large variety of firearm types, from the traditional Mossberg shotgun to the 180C. Caliber Range (max): 12ga, 338. Ideal For: Shotguns, PC9, SKS, FX9, Scorpion, Raven 9, Templar, wk180, ws-mcr, tavor -------------------------------------------- Vector Optics Paragon x3 The design of he Paragon x3 is as low profile as possible. No opaque protrusions to reduce situational awareness. Controls, windage and elevation adjustments are close to the body of the optic. The 3 power prism sight is ideal as a battlesight for modern sporting rifles as the 3 power gives a flexibility at close, medium and occasionally longer ranges quite comfortably. 3 power, in my opinion, is the maximum magnification your brain can resolve with 2 eyes open style shooting. 3 power is ideal for people expecting to engage targets at 300 meters or closer. The x3 Paragon is lightweight and small measuring 3" in length weighing only 225g. The reticle has a drop compensator for 223 balistics. Caliber Range (max): 12ga, 338. Ideal For: FX9, Scorpion, Raven 9, Templar, wk180, ws-mcr, tavor, crypto -------------------------------------------- Specter Arms is a dealer for Vector Optics and the x1 Paragon is not the only thing in stock. Red dots, scopes and micro reflex sights are all available on the website. Send a text to 7809079585 for more info. Do you need to outfit your family or survival group? Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 in .44 Special/ Russian Open top. Antique $4800
Please text anytime 6476871484. Fully functional antique revolver in mechanically perfect and ready to shoot condition ,very good action, no PAL needed. Reloadable ammo is available but sold separately Comes with FRT RCMP paperwork. Smith & Wesson 44 New Model No. 3 Top Break, .44 Special / Russian Revolver. This one is in very good condition with longer 1 9/16 cylinder and can shoot both .44 Special and 44 Russian ammo. The action is strong and accurate, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 6.5-inch barrel is quite good, with strong rifling. The black hard rubber grips are good and undamaged. Mechanically in excellent condition with proper timing and lockup. The latch is also solid with zero play. Extractor works as it should. SN 10438, very good overall. History & Background Smith and Wesson's first double action design dates back to at least 1872 - years before Colt ever attempted a double action cartridge revolver. It was mentioned in a letter to the Russian envoy General Orlof, and although the sale to Russia never materialized, it served to pave the way for the very popular and successful line of double action top break revolvers. The .44 Russian model was actually the first to be produced as a prototype, and the last to be released for sale to the public. For this reason there exists a degree of confusion over the proper terminology: the first one to be manufactured for sale was the .38 caliber model, followed by the .32. The .44 caliber model was not released until 1881, and is variably known as the No. 3 Double Action, the Double Action "Navy" (a name Daniel Wesson wanted to keep alive to differentiate this model from the No. 3 single action, and still holding out hope to sell it to the Russian navy), and the First Model Double Action. Originally, the .44 Double Action was made with a 1 7/16 inch cylinder, however an optional .44-40 version was available as of 1886. This required a 1 9/16 inch cylinder, and a longer frame. The firm soon realized that it was too expensive and cumbersome to manufacture two different sizes of frames for what was essentially the same gun, and the shorter cylinder and frame were dropped in favour of the longer one in the early 1890's. The No. 3 frame .44 double action top breaks were dropped from the Smith and Wesson catalogue in 1913.

Glock slider lock trigger safety

Does Not Fit: Gen 5 Models. Siderlock Safety Trigger's Help Prevent Accidental Discharge!! The Glock pistol has a combination of three automatic safety features (trigger safety, firing pin safety and drop safety), which are sequentially disengaged when the trigger is pulled. The central pivot of the trigger is the first safety mechanism to disengage when the trigger is pulled and therefore the most important. The safety pin of the Siderlock trigger is a precise positioning system and when engaged blocks the movement of the central pivot avoiding an accidental discharge of the weapon. The Siderlock trigger offers the option of keeping the pistol in its original firing configuration simply by not engaging the lock. The Siderlock concept is simple: With a push on the safety pin a sliding pin acts to block or release the movement of the central pivot of the trigger, where by avoiding an accidental discharge when the slide is in the block position, and behaves exactly as the original Glock trigger when in the release position, all the while maintaining the original manufacture specifications. Once the Siderlock trigger is installed on the pistol, firing is accomplished by sliding the safety pin to the left prior to pulling the trigger. Preventing firing is obtained by simply sliding the safety pin to the right (Right hand Shooter assumed). For left-handed shooters, simply remove and invert the safety pin using the tools and instructions provided with the Siderlock trigger. No matter which position the slide is in it never extends beyond the trigger guard, avoiding any accidental contact with the holster ether inserted or withdrawn. Siderlock adheres to the same high manufacturing standards as Glock, using only high quality materials, a simple design and construction process, and therefore is guaranteed for life. Features: Replaces factory trigger. Adds an extra measure of safety. Avoids an accidental discharge. Maintains Glock original specifications, and fits all Glock Gen 1-4 models. Easy installation, includes detailed instructions and images. Ambidextrous and dismantled. High quality materials. Does NOT fit Gen 5 Models. Johnson worked at Allen's through the civil war years, as demand for firearms was high, and work was plentiful. By 1871 Johnson and Bye had decided to venture out on their own and founded Johnson Bye & Co. in Worcester, moving to Fitchburg by 1891. In 1883 Martin Bye left the company, selling his interest to Iver. The company name was changed to its most famous form, "Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass.", a name it would retain until the outbreak of the First World War. Iver Johnson did not only produce a large variety of firearms, they were also famous for their excellent quality bicycles and motorcycles. The company would remain in business until 1993. The name was "revived" in 2006 and the brand is still used today.
