3 Year Old Pyrenees-Maremma Needs a New Home

We are looking to rehome our sweet, loyal, and hardworking girl, Celine. She is 3 years old and comes from a livestock farm and a working line of Great Pyrenees and Maremma. We have had her since she was 10 weeks old. I'm the primary for her and my health has deteriorated to where my ability to care for her is much less.

Celine thrives when she has a job to do and space to roam. While living in Ontario, she was a wonderful family companion—fantastic with children and able to enjoy ample outdoor time, including long stints working and exploring on a farm.

Recently, we moved to Banff. Unfortunately, our current living situation just isn’t a fit for her guardian instincts: our home is smaller and lacks secure off-leash acreage, which has sent her hyper-vigilance into overdrive. Turning into aggressive moments that we haven't seen before. However, whenever we’ve been able to send her to large farm properties, she instantly transforms back into her happy, relaxed, and confident self.

We love Celine dearly and want what is best for her. We are confident that if she is placed on a farm, family property, or with someone who has the open space for her to live out her true Pyr-Maremma nature, she will flourish and make an incredible guardian and companion.

About Celine:

• Age: 3 years old

• Breed: Great Pyrenees x Maremma (working lines)

• Temperament: Gentle and great with kids, highly loyal, and alert. When introduced off leash to other dogs, can connect and co-exist. Leash trained, clicker trained for recall.

• Ideal Environment: A farm, acreage, or large rural property where she has room to roam and a purposeful job as a guardian.

• Willing to Travel: We are more than willing to drive however far is needed to get Celine to the right home.
