We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team. Candidates must be motivated to make a difference in each patient’s experience. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who focus on the safety and service of each patient. You will work with a supportive management team that will provide flexibility and healthy work-life balance. The ideal candidate would be familiar with Gynecological terms. This position will cover maternity leave as well as the potential to become full time. Position to start in April.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for patient inquiries.
Receiving and making phone calls.
Confirm patient appointments and ensure that required paperwork is completed prior to appointments.
Ensure the necessary instruction for the procedure is conveyed to patients.
Manage clinical schedules for several physicians using EMR.
Retrieving and sending confidential faxes.
Scanning confidential patient medical records into EMR.
Maintaining excellent rapport with physicians and patients.
Support clinic manager.
Areas of Responsibility include
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant or Unit Clerk program is an asset.
Experience with MedAcess is an asset. .
Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, organize and work under pressure and/or time constraints.
Attention to detail.
Exceptional use of judgment.
Experience with sterilizing medical instruments
Excellent communication, independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experience with booking large volumes of referrals for a specialist office.
Reliable, punctual, and supportive of others.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
