Remington 870 Magnum Wingmaster with Unique Wood
12 Ga Pump Firearms Shotgun
Howdy Townpost. I have a nice smooth vintage Remington made 870 wingmaster Magnum.
According to my research, the date code indicates that this shotgun was manufacturing in March of 1982. It has a 28-in full choke barrel and being that it's a magnum, it accepts 3-in shells.
It has a Pacmar decelerator rubber recoil pad that is still pretty soft and the texture on the back is hardly worn at all and still grips against your shoulder well.
Mechanics are excellent. These old Wingmasters are some of the smoothest pump guns you can find especially when they've been broken in a little bit, especially since this was made in the '80s.
It features a nice two-piece walnut stock that has some very unique figure and coloring to it. The piece of timber that they use for the buttstock included some sapwood which is much lighter than the regular Heartwood that walnut is known for. So basically the buttstock has a blonde highlight in its on the comb and wrist as pictured. Frosted tips are coming back boys! The stock was recently refinished in a high durability urethane finish. Because when I got this gun it had a worn gross and flaky varnish on the wood. You couldn't even see the blonde feature.
The Wingmaster is located in Calgary AB for pickup or I can ship it nationwide on the buyer's dime. Free delivery in Alberta may also be possible. I travel around a fair bit so message me to see if it's an option.
