Position Overview
Lac Ste. Anne Foundation is seeking a motivated and organized Summer Student to join our team in an Administrative Support role through the Canada Summer Jobs program. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student or youth to gain practical office experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization. Working under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful candidate will develop valuable administrative, communication, customer service, and organizational skills in a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Summer Student will assist with a variety of administrative duties, including:
Greeting visitors and responding to telephone and email inquiries
Providing excellent customer service to clients, members, and the public
Preparing correspondence, reports, meeting agendas, and other documents
Filing, scanning, photocopying, and maintaining electronic and paper records
Supporting meetings and events through preparation, setup, and follow-up
Organizing office supplies and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace
Performing other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
Previous customer service or office experience is considered an asset but is not required
Eligibility Requirements
This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment (inclusive)
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work according to applicable provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
