Position Overview

Lac Ste. Anne Foundation is seeking a motivated and organized Summer Student to join our team in an Administrative Support role through the Canada Summer Jobs program. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student or youth to gain practical office experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of our organization. Working under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful candidate will develop valuable administrative, communication, customer service, and organizational skills in a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Summer Student will assist with a variety of administrative duties, including:

  • Greeting visitors and responding to telephone and email inquiries

  • Providing excellent customer service to clients, members, and the public

  • Preparing correspondence, reports, meeting agendas, and other documents

  • Filing, scanning, photocopying, and maintaining electronic and paper records

  • Supporting meetings and events through preparation, setup, and follow-up

  • Organizing office supplies and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace

  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn

  • Previous customer service or office experience is considered an asset but is not required

 

Eligibility Requirements

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment (inclusive)

  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada

  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work according to applicable provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
