CIRCA 1800 – Napoleonic era French “De Poche” (Pocket) percussion pistol proof marke stamped by inspector Augustin Merley ( Crown over  AM )

Fully functional and tested. Takes a #10 percussion cap and 0 patched 0.590″ round ball. The lock work functions smoothly with a strong hammer spring and positive trigger pull.
The wood stock has some wear, minor chips and worm holes (a clear indication of naval use in it long life & history)
The ram rod is original and intact. It is threaded at one end and has eyelet for cleaning patch and a wooden ram for seating the ball

Barrel: 7″ Smooth bore belled at muzzle for loading – Some pitting but in amazing condition for age ( 225 years)
